studios your cultural youtube channel celebrating our shared past present and future dating box injuries the stories and tradition of the people of kenya are some of the most fascinating in the world they have enriched the country through social economic political and cultural activities each with their own unique story the national museum of kenya holds objects telling the story of the communities which represent the country's ethnic diversity and vibrant cultures many of the cultural practices are still embraced today but they have been influenced by the changes in the society this expert celebrates the country's rich heritage through the luo community the lewes are the largest ethnic group in kenya they speak the law which is part of the neologic language group known as ramogi's descendants the law community are particularly known for their musical skills and instruments it is in this episode that we acknowledge the effort of a great woman representing this woman cynthia odyambo makes a trip in showcasing the lower culture in the masai mara studios in the dhani gives a focus to a woman in a traditional attire celebrating the role played by women in the society lua women played a great role in the family traditionally they carried out most of the domestic tools took care of the children and taught them their language and traditions foreign be now after a long travel from nyanza to mas island it was a beautiful ride passing through the islands of kisi the beautiful sceneries the green vegetation and everything finally we were in masaimara and guess what we had the most beautiful moment beautiful cottages beautiful places the environment was cool the touched houses the green vegetation oh my kenya is beautiful all right so jumping into our episode we shall be talking to you about how our tourism industry in kenya is beautiful you are a kenyan you've never been to any national park in kenya talk of going in your traditional attire now in our episode we shall see uh how our immodel was wearing the look attire to masaymara to meet the beautiful massage in their beautiful artists we all know how massages love their dresses love how they dress and everything so now we want to take the bold step into them as island and see how they're going to be reacting to us are they going to see this as madness immediately we landed the women could not hide their joy seeing allu a woman in the masai mara they approached her wanting to modify her dressing by adding up more masai artifacts and to us does the african spirit the spirit of sharing and wanting to make women look greater and here they had a performance for us which was outstanding and beautiful hello your cultural youtube channel foreign oh um hey what did it mean they they mean welcome dance for you yes normally the dance we perform on a special location like wedding ceremony yes it's a conversation boys and becoming a man in masa wow yeah we're normally becoming a warrior yes in a massage to become a man to get a marriage yes so the dances mean welcome dance for you you saw that one we go around after that outstanding performance from the homicide we got a chance to talk to them about the lookout we never see somebody like this in mercy you've never seen never it's like it's like yeah we don't know like you never see someone like you've not seen yeah and this is to you is is it traditional or i think it's traditional another culture of people but it is beautiful when you're looking how it's dressed cause long time as we well skiing of animal like this yes yeah so we like it their leader who was being interviewed explained to us how the maasai used to dress and to him he had never seen such a thing so our lead model had to take him through how a little lady was supposed to dress in any occasion i'm representing our culture this is all was used to put on long time before we came to railroad roads we used to cover only these and these so i've done you favors by wearing these huh this baker and thank you for that after a long drive in the masai mara to see the beautiful animals in the park we also took in interest on the maasai culture therefore we were led to the homestead of the maasai and it was a great experience their home state arrangement their houses their activities how they light fire and wow you wouldn't want to miss this all right we are not gonna be giving you all the tips all the videos what do you do for us just subscribe to our channel and in your comment section tell us do you want a part two of this because of course yes we have a lot but due to time you're going to jump into the interview yes cynthia good morning good morning how was your night fantastic fantastic you slept well very well i know it was cold is this your first time to be in massamara yeah this is my first time to be masai mara yes and i'm glad i'm here it feels like home it's very beautiful yes this is that making you to confirm this this beautiful the nature trees animals yes yeah and everyone here is lovable tell me bravely about your what does it mean to you it's a dream come true wow first i've never been to masai mara yes this is your first time this is my first time here i came here and i'm asian yes yeah i needed the world to know that there are cultures that have been ignored yes when you come to masai mara yes the massage love their culture they still put on their clothes they still follow their culture yes for instance we were shown the manatees how they live with their families yes yeah they leave about 200 families in one i'm sorry one homestead which is good yes yeah so he came in here dressed in an african attire you were dressed in african-american attire yes yeah and the messiahs were like oh my god going on am i acting or something yes so you are not acting i was but you were just on in in law a items to create awareness for them to know for them to know that this culture that exists that yes it's eroded yes and i wanted to bring it back yes so during your interactions with the the masses in the masai mara yes what is this that you you heard them say or during the interactions oh some needed to wanted to marry me oh they proposed they proposed like yes yes once they die you can give me 30 cows yes others 10 10 cows yes so how did you feel when they all gave you that over oh i'm happy i'm getting married you're getting married soon and then are you going to be in maasai or if you're married like maybe you be serious and get married too i'll i'll won't forget about my culture i'll blend them you'll blend yeah okay now okay tell us briefly about the what you saw in the masai mara national park is blessed he's blessed blessed i wouldn't even advise anyone to go to dubai or someone else you have everything in here in kenya right the big five yes elephant lion rhinos rhinos wow yes and even amazing bad yeah wow so for you you'd advise people the locals here to give priority to to our yeah now talking about tourism industry what is this that you're doing about it i'm promoting our tourism industry yes yeah okay i want people to know yes that kenya is rich in culture yes and also in diversity yes we are so rich we are rich so what you are saying is we need to have like seasons where we come here in our traditional artists as we visit here or anytime alone in seasons yes anytime you feel like you want to go to please kindly you can put on your african attire if you are if you are a trucana yeah put on a truck ugandan we want to see that identify yourself with other cultures yes when the masai looks at you it looks at you in a different way like oh it's not about us only there are people out here who value their culture as well as we value ours okay yeah so that is generally what you're talking about you you are now broadening the entire picture to african heritage that that actually um more on the our culture our violation traditions and most of the language now um for us to to close this what would be your your parting shot we should protect we should protect and love our culture yes our african diversity yes it's our pride yes so what you're saying uh our african diversity is our pride and that also yes we should promote our tourism sector yes yeah kenyan tourism sector yes so each individual should contribute to our tourism sector in promoting and protection of their of their traditional culture and their values and everything that entails african heritage now um what is your next move i think i'm planning to go to trucana if things goes yeah easy yeah i'm targeting i'm praying that god should do make a way yes and and and now um to young generation outside there what message do you have for them we should come back to our culture yes protect it and value it as much as we are the western culture is a benefit to us yes our african culture true will be more of healthy ones so we are talking of our identity is key so we need always to make sure we give it priority because our origin is what we believe in it's what has brought us where we are we've been interacting with our lead model cynthia and right here in masai mara she's she's she's more on our african heritage promotes our tourism industry individually contribute to a promotion of our culture and make african heritage the best and be proud of it thank you cynthia for
