Are We Living In The End Times? An Urgent Time For Prayer – A Special Prayer

hello everybody hope you’re having a good sunday so far earlier this morning i was spending some time out on my back patio i do that a good bit on the weekends especially early before things really get cranked up and i mean the sun was just starting to rise and that’s usually my favorite time uh to be out there everything’s quiet see the birds watch the birds rabbits squirrels fighting over the bird seed that i put out there just very peaceful and it makes me thankful thankful for what we do have here pretty lucky really very blessed very blessed and i was thinking and watching some videos and i’ve been thinking about this for a while of course but there’s right now especially it seems like we’re in such perilous times is it the end of days you could certainly make an argument for that you could make an argument for that it’s the beginning of the early stages of the end days but we really don’t know i certainly don’t know but whether it is or whether it’s not i think in light of what is all is going on i think it’s an it’s an urgent time to pray and to now more than ever to stay close to the lord our god to stay close to christ stay rooted in his word and then also show that on how we treat others there’s so much conflict there’s so much fighting in fighting so much division right now not just in this country but it’s global it’s worldwide and satan is real busy right now and there’s so much conflict even in families you got families and friends being torn apart by arguing over just current events i mean it’s ridiculous really when you really think about it it’s easy to get caught up in it it really is it’s very easy to get caught up in it but i think we need to not lose sight of the big picture and live our lives and be kind be kind to others extends from grace forgiveness we need to pray for discernment pray for guidance and strength because we’re being tested right now as christians for sure no doubt about that so many things happen and like i said you got a pandemic that won’t go away i know several people i know personal people personally that are struggling with this in the hospital and it’s touch and go right now but a lot of people are struggling with this got conflict of fighting all over the place like i mentioned you got natural disasters you got wars rumors of war starting you got historic droughts climate change going on you got an unfolding humanitarian crisis in several places but i know the one that we’ve been talking about a lot is afghanistan you also got haiti a lot of christians in afghanistan are facing uh some real tough times and uh they might be they might become murders and i know they’re afraid for their lives we need to pray for them keep praying for them and you got many who are like i said are sick unemployed financial troubles health issues homeless seems to be just increasing so much division like i said families being torn apart arguing i mean it’s unreal hear about it all the time easy to get caught up in it we need to lay that aside pray and uh stay rooted in the word i i’m gonna share a special prayer that i look at pull out from time to time i haven’t seen it in a while and i always just thought about it popped in my head but first i’m gonna share a few a few passages that have helped me in times like this too john 16 33 says i have said these things to you that in me you may have peace in the world you will have tribulation but take heart i have overcome the world matthew 24 says but the one who endures to the end will be saved james chapter four verse one through two what causes quarrels and what causes fighting amongst you is this is it not this that your passions are at war within you you desire and do not have so you murder you covet and cannot obtain so you fight and quarrel you do not have because you do not ask we need to keep praying and asking asking for what we want as long as it is to the glory of god ask for forgiveness pray for discernment like i said before your prayers will be answered i’m not a theologian i’m not a bible scholar by any means but i knew do know that when you pray you will that prayer will be answered maybe yes it may be no it may be wait so we need to be patient too so i want to share this special prayer this is a wesley covenant prayer as a i was raised in the uh both mrs dog and i were raised in the methodist church united methodist and in lifelong methodist this is uh been one that we look at every now and then but i think it really rings really resonates right now for sure so it’s called the wesley covenant prayer if you want to google it or better yet duck duck go it let me look it up but anyway i read it says i am no longer my own but yours put me to what you will place me with whom you will put me to doing put me to suffering let me be put to work for you or set aside for you praised for you or criticized for you let me be full let me be empty let me have all things let me have nothing i freely and fully surrender all things to your glory and service and now a wonderful and holy god creator redeemer and sustainer you are mine and i am yours so be it and the covenant which i have made on earth let it be ratified in heaven amen amen and uh there’s a lot of freedom in that a lot of freedom in that prayer so no matter what happens good or bad we belong to him like it says it’ll be ratified in heaven share your thoughts if there are certain scriptures that there are certain passages of course that repairs that bring you comfort that bring you back to the center where we need to be feel free to share them and with that i’m going to say have a good rest of the sunday god bless you and keep you see you soon
