in terms of the team could you begin into this game with any more confidence yeah no i think uh we have a good confidence um obviously we’re on on a good streak right now uh both offensively and defensively so uh you feel feel in the squad that that we are very conf comfortable uh in the playing system right now and also good confidence which uh hopefully will help us what do you put that down to specifically uh no just that obviously it comes from people knowing uh their role in the team and that we have performed performed out on the pitch and of course people with good confidence they it’s uh it’s good when the game starts and uh to to do the right things on the pitch is there a sense that angie’s building here is becoming more and more you know the players are buying into it more and more by each week yeah i think uh i think we’re getting into it more and more i think obviously it’s uh it’s new stuff for most of the players so obviously it takes some time to to get used to the way he wants to play and uh uh and for all the players uh i think uh it gets easier with time training on it more and more and playing games on it and of course it helps to to go out there in the games and you get the results then it shows that it’s working so that’s of course a plus thank you oh how have you found it coming into a team at this stage of a season has it been difficult easy how would you describe it no of course it’s always difficult to come in to come into a team without any training and without any preseason with the with the team i think uh it’s also like uh when you come in that late it’s a good way to get going uh to just start to play games and uh try to get into everything as fast as possible obviously it’s easier for uh if you come like in a little bit advanced of the season but uh i feel like uh i feel like i’m taking steps and uh i feel more and more comfortable on the pitch for every game so i’m happy how many sessions did you have with the team before you were thrown in you seem to be thrown in almost straight away yeah i only have one session with the team and also it’s so many games so you don’t uh you don’t train a lot uh in the weeks because you play almost every third third day so it’s not been too many sessions but uh of course you you learn a lot and uh it’s in the like i think the it’s better to if i would choose between training a lot or training a lot playing a lot of games i will choose playing a lot of games because that that puts you in the situations uh like materialistic situations better yeah is it perhaps sort of short-term pain for for long-term gain you might make a couple of mistakes in the first few games but you’ll benefit from it down the line because you are thrown into it yeah yeah of course that’s uh that’s one way to to look at it just in terms of playing for angie’s team as a defender is it difficult because he doesn’t like his teams to defend very much its attack its attack for 90 minutes yeah he uh he demands uh demands a lot of the defenders i think which is good and that’s also also why i choose to came here because i think it’s a very good environment to develop and become a better player it’s of course a lot attacking with the ball but it’s also pressing very high and maybe you are you are not as as protected as you are in some defensively as you are in some other clubs also so it demands a lot from you but i think it’s very developing and it’s it work has worked good so far so i’m enjoying it carol just in terms of more generally how have you settled into life in glasgow i’m still staying at the hotel so i’m waiting waiting to to get my apartment and but as far as i know like the city it’s a very nice city i i like it a lot and also the players here are very nice it’s it’s a bit different for me only that they speak english you know i come from russia so my teammates didn’t speak so good english that’s that’s a a difference but so now i think once i get settled i will enjoy it a lot here and you’ve mentioned obviously that you’ve had to go straight in and almost hit the ground running in terms of your own performance how do you feel are you happy with what you’ve produced so far and and how much more is there to come from you i feel like i get better and better every week of course i’m not i’m not happy with all my performances and i know that i i still have a lot more to give but i’m confident that it will come and i will just keep on working until until i’m there well i just wanted to ask you about a few of your teammates obviously joe hart’s coming to the club how has he been behind you quite a commanding presence because he helped the defenders yeah he’s been he’s been outstanding both on the field and off the field and he’s a first of all a top-class goalkeeper he’s also like you say demanding and he is a good leader and also off the pitch he’s he’s a very nice guy and he’s very good in the dressing room so i’ve only only good things to say about joe and how about some of the young scottish defenders that are in the defense you’ve got tony ralston on the right and stephen welsh quite often played center half with yourself have you been impressed by how well these young players have you know helped you fit in and also adapted to andy’s style already yeah obviously both they’ve been playing uh very good uh so uh it’s just just to keep on going and uh just for the for every player to show that they can keep up the level uh like uh for for many games uh but of course i’m impressed and they’re doing uh doing a terrific job and it’s easy to play beside them what have you made of kyogre he’s grabbed a lot of headlines carl have you been as impressed as everyone else yeah yeah obviously he’s been he’s been doing very good scoring uh a lot of goals uh which always is important for striker but also running so much helping out defensively and uh no he’s been he’s been absolutely great so you can’t you can’t ask for any more than that and have you been heartened by the expressions of support for him after what’s happened this week off off the field has been a big coming together to show support for for kyogre yeah i don’t i don’t know too much about it to be honest uh we try to show support here in the in the squad and uh and we have done that and that’s uh that’s all i know actually in your opinion how big a week is this for the club alkamar and then rangers away and how much are you relishing both matches no of course of course a big week coming up for us an important week and now we’re fully focused on on tomorrow getting a good result it will be a very tough game to to come there and it’s a it’s a good good side we’re facing uh we are we’re going in there with the confidence like you say but we still know that it’s going to be a very tough game so all focus is on that right now how impressed were you with alkamar and how dangerous um aside will they be at home do you think seldik have a nice cushion but two goals can disappear quickly sometimes yeah of course we need we need to be on our toes from the beginning of the game uh and we need to do a very good good match to to get through uh i i knew before we we met that it’s a it’s a very good side so i don’t think there were any big surprises but they showed the they showed when they came here also that it’s a it’s a good team and the fact that celtic are taking a lead there shows maybe the progress that celtic have made as well in the past few weeks in particular yeah exactly we we got a got a good uh good result against uh a very strong team so of course that’s also it’s uh it’s good to show that we you can perform against the teams in europe as well it’s it’s very important in a club like celtic uh to to to be able to do that so that was also confidence boost for us you
