History Made Fun with Teacher Aaron! Grigori Rasputin and the Russian Revolution.

all right welcome back everybody samuel what did you guys say how did this homeless wizard contribute to a revolution uh putting a wizard uh sort of crazy in part of the country uh proved to the people that the tsar was uh useless like he can’t manage the country very well so uh angered the people simona what else did he do um he also like kicked out other people well not he not directly picked up but like um like other people in the government are being kicked out because they’re disagreeing with him and like those are probably gonna be mad at him and the royal family as well right whatever his intentions were when he first arrived in saint petersburg once he got the power it seemed like he wanted to keep it and eventually as he realized the royal family would listen to him especially after nicholas ii went to the front to lead the russian troops and he seemed to become more influential back home just with azarian alexandra it looks like he was willing to like influence the decisions of who is going to have high positions in the government based solely upon who’s backing him and who’s not backing him and of course most of the reasonable conscientious people are not going to follow the advice of an uneducated as we call him our homeless wizard so that meant a lot of the government people that were staying are not going to be the greatest people and then that’s going to further exacerbate the fact that we have had an ineffective regime of tsar nicholas ii the entire time what were you guys talking about ethan taught about the same but it’s like rasputin might have affected alexandra’s judgment and that that in that way he did not like like the other team said did not directly kick out the other advisors but kicked out the other advisors and that um he angered the rich the the people in power and also the people who were the poor like the peasants that also um put a pretty big wound on the royal family’s reputation i think right and it severely hurt their reputation at a time they could they’ll afford to have their reputation hurt further vanessa what do you think about with zaria alexander’s decision do you think do you understand her from a human perspective this man seemed to have cured her son’s hemophilia right does that mean that he was entitled to the access to the royal family and eventually the power that he got i mean i don’t know about how much influence he exactly had on this arena but i guess the fact that he was um always beside her makes uh made him feel like he’s like the person who influenced all her decisions right and the pr and of course he didn’t seem to understand the ill effect that his reputation had on them because he as we turned about even at times when he probably didn’t have that much influence was telling people that he did and that’s not something he should be doing if he had the royal family’s best interest in mind
