Judo Prelims, Quarter and Semi Finals | Day 4 | Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

Judo Prelims, Quarter and Semi Finals | Day 4 | Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

[Music] [Applause] [Music] welcome to the nippon buddha can for day four of the tokyo 2020 paralympic games and day two of the paralympic judo [Music] is the spiritual home of martial arts in japan and the perfect venue for paralympic judo judo is japanese means gentle way and refers to the fable of a tree with the branches under the weight of snow but never breaking lying judo was first introduced to the paralympics in seoul korea in 1988 and had been the only martial art on the paralympic games program until rio in 2016. here we see the program of the day starting with the men’s minus 73 kilogram category and then going on to the women’s minus 57 kilogram women’s blind judo was added to the paralympic program in athens in 2004 nippon buddhican the spiritual home of martial arts and in the shadow of the imperial palace fitting place for this spectacular international event fujimoto satoshi is japan’s most acclaimed visually impaired judoka fujimoto participated in five paralympic games and won three gold medals one silver and one bronze in the minus 66 kilogram category and the minus 65 at the atlanta paralympic games in 1996 [Music] is [Music] [Music] from austria [Music] three [Music] the olivier as the ring announcer is introducing the referee and we await the athletes to make their way to the tatami that’s the name of the mat that you see here for competition that’s the yellow squared area that’s the field of play should the judoka as they’re referred to in judo step off the area then the referee will call the word jogai and that will enable them to either make their way closer onto the area or to be aware that they are getting close to leaving the tatami you see of kazakhstan makes his way to the area and ramirez is not present unfortunately so it is a walkover and delay takes the first bat without having to get into action at all delay was ninth in the world championships in 2018 and a bronze medalist in the asian paralympic games in 2018 there are three classes in para olympic judo b1 b2 and b3 and delay is b3 which is the lowest of the classes which means that he has some visual capability perhaps light perception etc so we’re moving on swiftly to the second bout making his way to the area and he has opposition in gibril of portugal you’ll see here the the colors of the suits in japanese and you’ll see the red dot on the sleeves of ifa iafa is classed as b1 and that means he is completely blind and that is why he was escorted to the line by the referee for the bout from japan hirano hirozuki four minute bout gonna get underway and you’ll hear in a moment if they get close to that joe guy line the referee referring to the phrase yogai [Applause] there’s a the leg sweeping attempt there to score a point either a watari or a nippon if it’s a watari it’s slightly less value than the nippon [Music] and that would be if the athlete were to land on this upper body side if they land flat on their back with some force that would be for ippon technique sacrifice techniques in judah are referred to as sutemi that’s where an athlete might fall onto their back with an attempt to do a throw either a tomayo nagi with the foot on the stomach and throw the opponent over their backs [Applause] [Music] [Applause] get the best grip that they can kumikata as it’s referred to [Applause] taking the initiative making the attack referee stopping the bag he refers to the phrase mate and if the referee calls mate then the fighters have to stop immediately [Music] drops down and each time the referee calls a mate he brings them back to the area and they have to start in palo judo they have to start making contact this is called kumikata it’s a grip and it has to be a neutral position to give the athletes equal opportunity to get into the action and once that’s happened as you see now immediately kaldani is trying to get there and there is a score that’s the armed position that’s gone out and that is a score for kaldani he has received a wasarian [Music] attack sweeping movement that forced ayafa down onto the mat again a referee just making sure that both have the same opportunity their feet position our parallel as you see i have to start in exactly the same position neutral position [Music] inside of the leg [Music] [Music] very very strong grip which is typical of the georgian fighters very powerful upper body once more he tries the sweeping technique once they’re on the ground on the mat they can continue to compete and this is neither [Music] one minute 38 seconds still to go we have that one wazari lead from kaldani georgia in the blue [Music] [Applause] the referee just looking over towards the referee commission who are seated alongside the tatami they have to be satisfied that both players are in to say oh that was a brilliant technique there what a fantastic technique once more again from kandali demonstrating his superiority here he’s now got himself an ip-born score landing iafa down with the sasai sort of kamiyashi the sweeping and turning the body in the air well he’s going to take some beating that’s for sure as the contest develops he moves now into a quarterfinal position iafa may have a chance to come back but he could only compete for a bronze because there is the replica and this is a double reprise in the paralympic games for judo [Applause] but yogi kaldani has got gold in his sights [Applause] watch how he there’s he go straight over brilliant technique wow fantastic sure kamiyashi [Music] [Applause] next point is [Applause] [Music] [Applause] representing spain wearing the blue colors ow [Music] [Music] from spain his brother has represented spain in para judo [Music] fiery start to this contest between the two [Music] philosophy of mariachis is if you can do it why not well it looks as though he can do it that’s for sure working hard here against gavilan not enzo to the center once more before you pull them together put them into kumikata [Music] grip and off they go then as soon as they start they readjust the the grip to try and dominate the arm see that quick turn from [Music] trying to do the hold down there they also call me is for pinning or holding your opponent down and if you can do that for 10 seconds it would be a wasari and for 20 seconds it would be game over ippon but in that occasion that was the referee called matey if the action starts within the yellow square then it’s allowed to continue for a while outside of the area providing that the referee is satisfied that there’s a potential for a score otherwise he calls mate as he did in this occasion and brings them back to the center [Music] gavin lang comes from a a family of judoka his father is a judoka and his philosophy is to sometimes you win and sometimes you learn is this going to be a winning streak for gavilan we’ll have to wait and see there’s two minutes and 16 seconds still to go ninth in the minus 73 kilogram category in the rio de janeiro paralympic games 2016 [Music] uh [Applause] [Music] [Music] and finished in fifth position to the last two minutes of the boat still no score everything even [Applause] [Music] and this time he’s successful managed to get himself onto the scoreboard with a wasabi [Music] once more trying the same technique for the nagi he drops the dropsy nagi turns and then tries to drive forward forcing his opponent over [Music] here in the background the coach alfonso the thiago giving some advice there to caviland [Music] but it is who is on top you see the way that gavilan when he gets on the tatami on his stomach he pulls in those arms really tightly doesn’t want to let the opposition ariekiss grab hold of one of those arms to perhaps put on a an arm locker can set to water as it’s referred to [Music] [Music] [Applause] trying to find his way through that defensive cavallan into the last minute 58 seconds still to go it is still mariakis of lithuania who leads one was our e to zero once more he goes for the drop zoe didn’t come off for him though 51 seconds still plenty of time for gavilan to level the score even perhaps he get himself hip on judo things can change in the blink of an eye [Music] super fast techniques [Applause] [Music] thank see once more coach’s telling him now is the time to attack i order now coaches can give advice but they’re not allowed to be too vocal too loud so as to disrupt the match [Music] into the last 28 seconds we go [Music] this first bout is always so important because you lose the first bout no chance of a gold or a silver best you could hope for is a bronze and the repetitive so [Applause] in the next 22 seconds it will either be successful or berricus with that’s can do something about it [Music] see [Music] starting to feel the energy that neverland is putting into this area is 27 years old there’s very little in the age between the two gabilan is 28. right [Applause] is holding his man down taking a few seconds off the clock as he does job done gavilan just contemplating what might be coming next for him [Applause] and in the replicas it is those that have lost two semi-finalists they get a chance to go for bronze the losing semi-finalists gets an automatic access to the bronze middle bank but the winner of the repercharge has to come through so that will all be decided a little later although there is of lithuania has made his way into the next round with that one was highly win over alvaro galveland of spain thank you [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] foreign so we have an athlete from the home nation here nagai takamasa of japan and he’s up against adolfo ramirez of argentina [Music] referee for the bout to orfando of belarus [Music] guys with that sacrifice technique dropping down onto his back hopeful to get ramirez into an arm lock if he could or perhaps even a choke or strangle the shimmy water [Music] the referee brings them back to the center make sure that they’re both in an equal position have to have one arm on the pill the other on the upper arm between the elbow and the shoulder [Music] and as they both left the area but with no action started the referee calls mate brings them back to the center again [Music] like a slightly taller of the two just looking toward the referee can’t get himself in a satisfactory position referee does give them a bit of an opportunity but they can get themself a warning if they don’t comply and that warning would be referred to as a shiro oh wow what a fantastic technique there from [Applause] came straight off the kumikata there straight into the technique and an iphone for tomi onagi brilliant technique from the japanese fighter and to be fair there but all though ramirez wasn’t uh opening to this fighter from japan that’s classic of the japanese way the style is so swift the excellent technicians and you see he was trying to get that there we go over the top the foot onto the stomach pulls him down but that breaking the balance that kazushi breaking his balance and then straight over the top perfect example of kamehameha [Music] i move away from the men’s harajudo and we now have a bout between kazakhstan and to jerjeztan the women’s minus 57 kilogram category much difference as you can see in the height between the two and in white we have sayonara who already opens the score she only started judo in 2019 and already she’s finding herself [Music] try to turn her opponent here from the jersey stand cushion grissom determined to hold herself down and the referee biona of romania called mate brings him back to the start position [Music] that’s more the aggression of fedor silva at the moment certainly appearing to be a bit much for busan [Music] [Applause] and there’s a convincing win [Music] for a second technique it’s time to get it from for the ukiyo toshi [Music] somewhat of a powerhouse with a silver [Music] winner [Applause] fast and furious where the bouts are moving here’s how she did it over she goes [Applause] this time we have another of the japanese fighters junko 30 years of age she’s a b-class athlete she’s up against elena ogdenova octanova of belarus the one athlete she was guided to the start position by the referee victor abbasi of hungary [Music] garagey on top mate called get started get herself out of trouble referee stops the bank [Music] [Applause] the joe guy being called still no score three minutes 24 seconds remain on the clock plenty of time for either of them to get on the scoreboard once again bogdanovic attempting to go for the throw but couldn’t pull that off [Music] just join us we are in the nippon buddhican heart of tokyo tokyo 2020 paralympic games second day of judo foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] very who comes out on top she changes it from that arm into the shimmy waza gets a tap out there from boganova and it’s harassed who wins the bout with an ip on that’s how quickly things can change from being on the defensive to become the attacker great performance there from irose juncker of japan she goes through to the quarter-final the women’s minus 57 kilogram category [Music] you show how she did it you see norway going down to take the arm to start with and then has to submit [Music] that was used [Music] 73 kilogram category [Music] we have nikolai cornerhaas of germany up against timon zhan dalit [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay [Music] between the two [Music] [Music] so this is the second bite for [Music] sorry tommy cornhouse was a bronze medalist in rio i was also a bronze medalist in the world championships in 2018 [Music] the european champion in 2019 my corn asked b2 class cara judo cut trying to get onto the arm delay can he get it can i get a tap out working hard on that over the top he can apply this cansetsu can set to water on the arm delay desperately trying to stop him from being successful and there there it is that he’s got the lock on can he get the submission and he does that’s the ipon brilliant from nikolai cornhass he works so hard to pull that arm out of timber’s hand delay who in the end had no choice but to submit to that the uday hishigi jujaygatami was the technique used so it is who takes the win [Applause] and nicholas cornhouse [Applause] on this occasion wasn’t uh wasn’t able to do that so tamerasan doulay is the winner with an ippon he was training by that wasari then managed to get the arm out locked it on powerful fighter as you can see here again pulling that arm out there he is working so hard pornhouse couldn’t hold it in and then had to submit under the pressure power of the kazakhstan fighters [Music] [Music] and here we have now fighters coming out once more ukraine against georgia immediately [Music] [Applause] bring them back into the center [Music] on top me [Music] is [Music] [Music] in 2019 in the european championships [Music] desperately there for the hooking leg throw he has the wazari [Applause] uchigari two minutes 47 seconds still on the clock [Applause] [Music] now the referees at the side you can see here have overturned that decision so that was harry’s been taken away see that signal from the referee so all square once more two minutes 47 seconds still on the clock and the referee commission sitting alongside the tatami they have the power to overturn the decision of the referee if they deem that to be correct referee stops the bank [Music] [Applause] [Music] it’s and being a bit too high there i’m adored trying to go on the shoulder but once they get started he can change his hand position wherever it is but they have to hold with two hands just one hand on the ghee then the referee will immediately call mate it could be penalized with a shiro so far the fighters have been complying with the rules really well no shield is necessary [Applause] [Music] going able to maintain his balance [Music] no school if it goes to full time and there’s no score it will go to what is referred to as a golden score there is no time limit any warnings any points for example they could have a wasabi each that would be carried forward but the first score in golden score would then decide the outcome of the boat [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh wow brilliant gets the upon fantastic technique from yogi kaldani [Applause] really brilliant 1 minute 23 seconds still in the boat too much from there of georgia progresses to the quarter-final [Music] oh kaldani now finds himself in the semi-final [Music] great performance there from the fighter from georgia is how he did it took him over the top natalma [Music] [Music] moving on to the next bout this is the second time we’ve seen of lithuania [Music] looking really sharp in his first [Music] and he’s up against pharaoh’s side of of uzbekistan referee from france oliver this rose [Applause] [Music] fast and furious as we get into the opening there and immediately immediately there’s a fantastic score there from the fighter from uzbekistan perez said of [Music] just six seconds of the match and he scores with the nippon brilliant sioinagi from pharaohs say it off it’s almost like blink and you missed it you’re so fast so he progresses now to the semi-final just watch how he did this look straight down and the way he drove forward with those powerful legs to ensure that he got that force in the technique [Music] on to our next quarter-final back still in the mail minus 75 73 kilogram this is between vaseline cutiev [Music] pc and he’s up against lagay takamasa [Applause] of argentina [Music] and this encounter both of them fiercely attacking let’s see here goodyear trying to get a strangle on [Applause] trying to get his arm under there see if he can get hold of that lapel of nage can he do it that they called so close there ferocious ferocious attack there from kutiev [Music] ashley kutiev was european champion in 2017 is fit in the world championships [Music] [Music] wasari score and again straight down on the top trying to get his arm under the neck of nage who manages to defend himself taking that lead got that tommy anagi that made nage land on his side maggie managed not to have to go onto his back that would have been a nippon and he’d have lost the [Applause] come boat [Music] [Music] keep nage on the tatami and make the referee start the clock and here he is now the clock is starting to go he’s got the hole down can he keep it down for 10 seconds if he can it will be another wazari and then it will be game over that’s it excellent that’s another wasari the two combined score that’s masari oussetti upon and the win goes to vasily kotiev of rpc it’s the russian paralympic committee [Music] hold down [Music] start to get near the business end of the competition there it is [Music] and here is the hold down the osha for me that gave him the win [Music] away from the men’s and back to the women’s minus 57 kilograms and this is about between turkey’s xenap chilek cleanup chilex named a visually impaired athlete of the year in 2020 in the giants of sport representing the women’s world champion minus 57 foreign of rpc she’s wearing the blue colors [Music] buttoning down the hatches there keeping herself really tight on the tatami [Music] [Music] competitor in the world championships in 2014 and again in 2018 she hasn’t been among the medals though she has had a silver medal in the european championship since 2017 and she got a bronze in 2019 in genoa but it is chillick who’s on top and she’s got that ultrakami the pin down she’s got now a wasari score at least if she can hold it for a further 10 seconds it’ll be the iphone it doesn’t look as though chilikova is able to do anything about it [Applause] great performance here from zainab chilek of turkey getting the earpoint just under one minute of the bank [Music] the referee lead them off there is a result zaynab kelly taking the ipon that hold down he also call me hold down the kazooie casicatami is the technique that was used for that pawn it was for the uchi mata but then follows on for the niwaza the groundwork she was able to get that kazuri katsukitami to get the opponent [Music] sticking with the women’s minus 57 kilogram this time out between kazakhstan and azerbaijan [Music] so in the white colors slightly shorter of the two fighters is eva of azerbaijan she’s up against piana fedor of kazakhstan with that spectacular win in the opening match he’s only been practicing judo since 2019 [Music] [Music] european champion in 2017 and the women’s team european champion in the same year that was in the minus 52 kilogram category she was european champion at minus 57 in 2019 in genoa no scores so far women’s quarter-final match [Music] can she get hold of that arm trying desperately to do so but as far as the referee you [Applause] just a mention of the referees they’ve all been selected on the international judo federation to represent the sport and that’s a great honor and a testament to the hard work of the officials to get themselves here in the tokyo 2020 paralympic games [Music] the leg sweep so you sort of call me move but sacrifice dropping down onto her back fedorsfer she’s trying to get that groundwork going [Music] [Music] attacks the league oh that was very close there from a bit off sphere she dropped down almost came off for her valeable just managing to step over the leg get out of danger the father who’s a judo coach valeeva we always believed that she would be good at judo well she certainly has been come good enough to represent her country and to become the european champion on two occasions with the team and individual yeah now she finds herself in the lead and she has that what’s harry now got an uphill struggle she’s got two minutes still on the clock but served up valeeva with that kauchi makikomi that wrap around holding the arm wrapping the body round difference between the two fights for the leg sweep there she goes over the top but fedor silva managed to flip herself around out of trouble to see if she can get some advice there dan or brick assassin [Music] the coach of kazakhstan bit of work needed sort that hair out a bit of sort of uh using this opportunity just to have a think about her strategy she’s got one minute 36 seconds still time to do something about it trails with that one we’re sorry [Music] [Music] okay she tries that she tell me what’s up sacrifice dropping down see if she can get hold of one of the arms of failure also trying to turn her opponent over both working hard takes a great deal of energy down on the tatami hopefully not satisfied that the score is going to materialize [Music] all right the fighters have to look up and be upright before they get hajime come on to start oh there was a almost a trip there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] that was good enough ali ava managing to take but the officer down gets her second wasari to combined will be the ipon i was saying progresses now to the semi-final here we see there we go hook the leg down turned her on to her side with that sumit otoshi managing to get that second wasari yes sticking with the women’s minus 57 kilogram another quarter final bite [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Applause] her husband a cougar who represented japan in para judo in 2008 and in rio in 2016. she’s in trouble now as samandar rover has got her held down she scored there was harry and there is the referee who gives the atari and stop the clock at 12 seconds so there is a wasari school from havina samandarova [Applause] now here i say in a little bit of trouble [Music] just making sure that they have their arms slightly bent [Music] so we have that asari school there from the whole dan the yoko shiho katami from taking the initiative didn’t quite manage to get that score though [Music] once again samantha rover trying to get that hole down and there’s the earpods he gets the tap out power from pavina samandarova it’s too much for harass agent cult so she gets the ipod job well done gets an applause [Music] to the semi-finals so the tournament is unfolding getting down to the business end and here we see a little bit more of the action there’s a quarter final result there means -57 this is [Music] brazil versus argentina [Music] of brazil wearing the white colors she’s up against lara gonzalez of argentina in blue [Music] joe was the silver medalist in rio at the paralympic games she’s also a silver medalist in london [Music] [Music] believes that the mind is like a parachute works when it’s open so she has an open mind to this but it is arujo who’s trying to pin her down can she get the ipad she can indeed wow the power of lucia too much for laura gonzalez who takes the iphone [Music] [Music] perhaps an opportunity to go for bronze but what a wonderful way to take that bout lucia just having words of comfort to gonzales as they leave the tatami representing argentina disinfection a short break for the tatami to be cleaned and made safe for the rest of the competition so please stay with us and make sure that you don’t miss any of this fantastic action from the nippon buddha in para judo [Music] this hey so so what’s up now now if you’ve just joined us we are in the nippon buddhican in the heart of tokyo for the tokyo 2020 paralympic games and the para judo we are now in the rippishage and this is nikolai cornhass who’s making his way to the tatami the mat for the competition this yellow square arturo fando from belarus the referee as you’ll see here nikolai conhas as he comes to the center there is no opposition so he has a bye into the next stage a bronze medalist in rio in 2016 was also a bronze medalist in the 2018 world championships and the european champion in 2019 so in the replicas the four semi-finalists will compete the loser of the semi-final will compete for a bronze medal the winner of the repubge will also get a chance to compete for a bronze medal so here we have the back which is going to be between if [Music] these are the two athletes who are going to make their way on to the tatami or far from portugal wearing the white shiro he has those red patches on his sleeves that signifies he’s a b1 athlete completely blind he’s up against rufat mohammed of of ukraine in the blue colours four minute bouts both jostling for position both trying to command the grip the kumi kata try and get in a position to be able to score the referee stops the boat with the command mate bronze medalist in the european championships in 2019 he has received a master of sport for ukraine as iafa drops down to the tatami [Applause] 29 years of age digibrio [Applause] referee for the bad nadiam bayat of turkey he called yummy mate [Music] and i have to hold on to the ghee properly the suit and now he’s penalizing ahmed of for not taking the grip properly that’s a sheedo and you see alongside on the graphic there a yellow rectangle that’s uh the first of the shido [Music] they both try to get the best position possible they have to have one hand on the lapel and one on the upper arm of the opponent and straight away on that that was what mahmoud was trying to do trying to get the best position to come out of the start of the boat into a position where he can throw and he succeeded on that occasion so he now has a wasari for the yochimata as he hooked his leg between the legs of ayapha [Applause] uc [Music] this time i have a drops down to the tatami in trying to get the hold down now can he do this mama he’s having the clock count you see the seconds ticking away seven eight if he gets down for ten seconds that’s another wasari that’s a nippon that’s sufficient ten seconds gives him a wasari and a we’re sorry that he already had that’s a wasabo porn that’s the combination [Music] so with that second one with the hold down the kazuri keshikatami convincing win there for mahmoud [Music] so although he was penalized for the shido because he wouldn’t take the group properly he was trying to use that to get the best possible position to spring into the uchimata which he did and got that initial wasari [Music] clamped on like a vice if i was going nowhere with that [Music] representing [Music] [Applause] you see iona albert the referee from romania brings both the athletes on to the tatami wearing the blue colors from georgia kaldani fifth in the european championships and he began the sport at the age of 14. [Music] [Music] in 2018 [Music] [Applause] [Music] going for the knee [Music] [Applause] [Music] very strong style the georgian fighters [Music] as of course does kazakhstan so power of the upper body in particular from both these nations [Applause] [Music] they’re using this time to feel the reaction from their opponent to see if they can sense a weakness so they can break the balance break the kazushi balance of the opponent but they both have a shito now for non-compatibility referee wasn’t satisfied that they were trying to compete [Applause] [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] start both have to be standing upright arms slightly bent heads up they get into it and takes him down there’s the e and he’s trying to hold on to the arm see if he can keep it down and get the referee to make the clock but no it’s going to be a mate but there’s the wasari for 10 minutes on delay and you see had the arm wrapped around that soto makikomi that was why he received that was our e [Music] and hold on with one arm only if there’s an immediate attack that’s going to go for it again [Applause] now can you get the arm lock on that’s the that’s the thing he could be in trouble here delay fiercely trying to attack that arm from caledonia and he gets the iphone brilliant performance sir look at kaldani’s face he can’t believe that he fell into that [Music] but so powerful got himself on the arm of kaldani who couldn’t do anything about it so udaihishi juji katami the technique used by delay [Music] just not enough for kaldani he has been eliminated it’s this man from kazakhstan who goes through to the next round brilliant what a performance [Applause] [Music] foreign what a brilliant performance from delay [Music] delay now in the final great performance from him [Music] the other semi-final fedor and kutyev when he goes through to the final the loser fights for bronze [Applause] khadani get a chance to go for bronze whoever comes through in the republic [Music] [Music] rpc [Music] that sacrifice technique can he get a grip on but it is got him held down clock is still ticking six seconds if he can hold it down for ten it’ll be our sorry [Music] 10 seconds [Applause] referee stops the match to get that and he’s turned it over against said off [Music] [Applause] been taken away from kutyev and that can happen by the referee commission was seated alongside the area foreign [Music] [Applause] [Applause] lead two minutes 23 seconds there’s an attack there from [Music] [Applause] now can you get the arm on there’s a wassari too late there could you have tried to get the arm on but he’d already to come to another score [Applause] both with the tsunagi from said of just a few moments we the referee is waiting to see if there’s any change and there isn’t referee commission satisfied with the outcome ippon win for that [Music] two azaris from said of [Music] he goes through to the final and aseli could give has a chance to go for bronze against the winner of the replicas [Applause] [Music] does kilograms [Music] so it’s time for the women’s minus 57 kilogram semi-final now between turkey and azerbaijan [Music] blue [Applause] [Music] that there wasari there from celic so yeah valeeva brilliant performance there [Applause] [Music] [Applause] for the kochigari some hard work to do here now [Music] hold her down she needs to turn her over needs to be on her back [Applause] [Music] there’s a lot of sound you can hear coming from that too that’s the men’s semi-finals between mexico and uzbekistan [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] for turkey still to score she chose by that asari in the blue colors from azerbaijani [Applause] [Music] [Music] yeah two minutes 42 seconds still plenty of time for chile to get back into this goes for the uchimata mate [Music] [Applause] european champion team an individual bouncing up and down keeping yourself nice and light getting rid of that lactic acid couldn’t get hold of the belt turn her over [Music] a little frustrated with herself there she felt she could have done better in that situation but she is the one in the lead at the moment indeed is chilek she was trying to waste a little bit of time here but now she’s not she’s on to the case here [Applause] foreign [Music] closing in to the last minute of the bout still that one asari lead from served up valeeva who turns it now into an iphone was it dear pawn and she is delighted that put her into the final of the women’s minus 57 kilogram category [Applause] prove too much for xenophilic will now have to hope that she can get a bronze as she comes up against the winner of the reference [Applause] foreign [Music] representing turkey will compete for the bronx there she was with that second rosary it’s the other women’s minus 57 kilogram semi-final between uzbekistan and brazil this is lucia rojo [Music] uzbekistan bronze medalist in the world championships in 2018 that was most memorable experience in her para judo career she’s been influenced by her parents and her coach arson fabian there’s a wazari immediately on the board there for samantha [Music] so she goes through to the finals and there’s the tap out [Music] minus 73 kilogram and ukraine’s rafat mahmoud [Music] [Music] [Music] straight into that aggressive style of his roof off [Music] [Music] [Applause] can he hold him down armored off keeping his arms in tight doesn’t want to let one of those arms get into any danger corners trying to turn his man over and he manages to do there he’s got him on his back now can he pin him down can he get that oshikomi try and pull him over again onto his back so that he can [Music] tremendous amount of energy be expended by both of these sudoku [Music] foreign [Applause] yeah those have to come forward get ready for the kumikata the the grip [Music] things are fairly even at the moment in this boat wearing both out of danger [Music] is [Music] still very little between these two minutes 14 seconds still on the clock trying to get the commanding position as cornhus he’s again on top trying to turn his man over mumma dog just spins around out of trouble the bronze medalist in the european championships courthouse see european champion in 2019 quite evenly balanced bout between these two yes [Music] reads that really quite well skips out of the way then applies his weight onto the back of mammodov forcing him down to the mat where’s that lucky call me but couldn’t get it off [Music] [Music] coming into the last minute of the boat tries to get his leg over the top to get onto an army [Music] nothing between these two wow [Applause] oh there’s a wazari now excellently performed there from mummadov now can he keep his man down can he get the clock ticking no he can’t referee calls matey [Music] so it’s [Music] [Music] 39 seconds now look like corn house i have to american but mamadou still being look down here for shito he’s got a warning now swoops back onto his back [Applause] [Music] 26 seconds ahmadoff still has the wazari lead he has the shido against him for that false attack once more cornhouse tries to wrap yourself round the arm of marmodoff [Applause] [Music] no with just 10 seconds left to go farmer dove trying to hang on to this wasari lead that he has again straight in for an attack still can’t quite turn his man over it’s just the clock ticking down now it’s all over for nikolai cornhaus as wilfred mamadov takes the bite with the wasabi [Music] exhausted by the encounter [Music] of ukraine ripper charge [Music] this is how he took that wassari which was enough to get him into a bronze medal contention all smiles at the end of the boat okay i’m ready for the final of the repercharge [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] winner going for bronze [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hey [Applause] you can see the attitude from nage trying to force his will on to the opponent his philosophy never give up until the end of the match oh daddy oh there’s a call for wasari and it does go to nagai pakamasa he’s continuing with the groundwork referee stops the vow though [Music] [Applause] the asian paralympic games bronze medalist in 2018 his world in the ninth in the world championships of 2018 but it is barackis he’s trying to getty’s man held down with osakami not able to do so though referee calls mate [Music] [Music] those of you who may recently join us we’re in the nippon buddha can in tokyo for the tokyo 2020 paralympic games oh there we go turn over there to equal the score now [Music] and now it’s been matched by the score of barakas also with our sari for the seo nagi with three minutes and nine seconds still plenty of time for the back to change hands again referee victor havasi of hungary not satisfied that kumikata is correct yes sir he is now i get back into the match okay wasn’t able to referee cause mate back to the center uh really important that they are started off in an equal position [Applause] [Music] the rules for judo are pretty much the same for both sided and visually impaired there are some minor changes and one of them is the kumikata the grip at the beginning of the bout and each time the referee calls mate so they have to be standing upright arm slightly bent one arm on the lapel the other on the upper arms so action can continue off the mat providing there is an attempt to attack part of the continued action otherwise the referee stops the bout as we saw just now brings him back to the center oh very close the way that nage just tightens up brings those arms in close protects himself down on the tatami [Music] [Applause] no school [Applause] [Music] to go into the last two minutes of the bag once more correct trying to do the throw and again nugget closes down [Music] you see the referee guiding nugget back as his category his classification is b1 and that red dot as you see on his sleeve signifies the fact that he is in indeed blind barracus is at b3 so he does have some vision maybe like perception or a little more [Applause] hey [Music] very little to separate these two there’s the continual attacks from corrections that is making like a start to tired very speedy style from nugget on occasion if he can spring that trap he’s got one minute 20 seconds left at the back to do it [Applause] [Music] he’s obviously starting to feel it as well if it is 1-1 at the end of the four minutes we’re going to golden score that would be the first one to score any point would win the bank [Applause] oh this time maybe the the attack there from barracks on this occasion was successful he gets the iphone turns his man over with sanoyi tsuyonagi [Applause] and he takes the the win so that tenacity from valdez barack yes was sufficient to win the final of the ripper charge he gets it now to go again for a bronze medal [Music] [Applause] that was hard work but it paid off in the end for avales barreques [Applause] does he now be competing for bronze [Music] and that’s how he did it with that uh drop shionagi as he drops down there rolls his man over keeps pushing forward puts him in a great position now going for bronze he’ll have a little chance to recover as well before he has to fight for that bronze as we’re going to move away from the men’s category into the women’s female women’s minus 57 kilogram repercharge finally [Music] from belarus [Music] [Music] exactly the same four minutes about for both male and female what’s the time change it used to be five minute minutes for men exactly the same now [Music] trying to get that strangle on but not able to the 20 year old from kazakhstan who showed her the exercises and throws and she found that she really liked it so that’s her reason for getting into para judo yes foreign [Music] no scores so far just the one shido that yellow card against foot offside [Music] on either side unless there’s an immediate attack she’s trying to go for a strangle here but off china culver holding tightly down trying her now and she turn this around referee allowing the match to continue [Music] manages though to avoid getting her arm locked onto [Music] halfway through the bank still no score just the one cheeto difference between the two [Music] [Music] referee not satisfied she’s putting in enough effort [Music] [Music] chilekova hold it down no referee calls mate final of the women’s minus 57 kilogram goes through to fight for bronze [Music] thank you i can’t fed off sabah she still can’t get her arm onto that lock 45 seconds still to go no score now if it does go to full time with no score it will go into golden’s score period and that will be until someone scores now machinicova can’t she keep the hole down she got the clock ticking she’s in a really strong position here fedorsova is in trouble seven seconds up comes the first there’s azari can she hold it down for a further 10 seconds if she does she’ll get the ipod doesn’t look like she’s going to be able to escape from this much too strong machinic over she takes the win with the ipon and that was what she was looking for every time she went down to the mat fedor just had no way of getting out of that grip once ochinikova had locked on 18 seconds still to go and she has finished it with a nippon so she’ll be going for bronze now great result there for of chilekova of our pc here’s how she did it clamped on there no way was she gonna let her opponent get up from that held her down what’s it call me such a powerful position as we move into the final of the women’s minus 57 kilogram repercharge remember this is a double repetition para judo and this is between japan’s rosse juncko and argentina’s laura gonzalez final within under 57 kilograms laura gonzalez [Music] [Applause] [Music] relocated back to japan after meeting her husband told him if she come he marries her she’ll come back and he did and how she repays him flies in there immediately with that fantastic hip on just seven seconds it took her to get that score and laura gonzalez unfortunately succumbed to that uchigari from hirosei [Music] who now goes for bronze ladies and gentlemen this was the last contest today in the elimination rounds we remind you that final vote today starts at 4 00 p.m as we heard there from the ring speaker that was the last bout of the session and this is how she died in there to get that hip on [Music] and confidence into the bronze medal bout later in the program so we have a break now thank you for watching and make sure that you don’t miss any more of the fantastic para judo from the nippon buddha can good morning [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] so so
