LEGO Hummingbird and Flower Tutorialadmin
Wecome to the video! For a change I’m building something that doesn’t include any motion. This is a small sculpture of a hummingbird feeding at a flower. It was designed as a gift for one of our local LEGO club members, to help lift their spirits during a battle with cancer. They love birds of all kinds, so Kristal and I thought it would be nice to put together a kit for them to put together. The parts list and building instructions are also freely available at jkbrickworks.com Perhaps it can bring joy to some of you as well. Just finishing up the base with some nice greenery. The lime green hole will hold the stem of the flower. Now to build a couple of leaves at the base of the flower. And the flower stem. On to the flower itself. We made it red, but it could be built in many colours. It is build using some basic SNOT technique. Now to build the hummingbird itself. We would have rather built a green one, but we weren’t happy with the colour combinations available in the parts we wanted to use. Instead, we opted to build one with orange tones. It could be a Rufous Hummingbird, or Allen’s Hummingbird. Ha, I forgot to add the black quarter tiles when I was building the base. Now to put it all together. I will likely design more static nature themed models in the future, as I find them quite relaxing. Thanks for watching!
