you're right randy it is going to be another rainy day out there we are under a flash flood watch which will remain in effect from 8 a.m this morning until 8 a.m tomorrow wednesday so what could this include this could include periods of heavy showers and you're wanting to pay attention to those low-lying areas areas that got a tremendous amount of rain yesterday that's what you're going to want to stay cautious about today this is localized flash flooding but again it's from 8 a.m this morning until 8 a.m wednesday otherwise randy you're looking at a high of 72 degrees today this front is going to continue to go through madison county it will remain through tomorrow we will see some periods of sunshine tomorrow afternoon which will be a nice reprieve and then for thursday randy we're looking at a gorgeous thursday ahead sunny skies with a high of 78. so once again a flash flood warning remains in effect for today through tomorrow morning we will keep you posted throughout the day school soccer matchups on the schedule for monday but mother nature came along and washed those away so we thought we'd take the opportunity to highlight a few things that happened back over the weekend which we did not have time to mention in yesterday's update so we'll start off on saturday up at kearney hill golf links in lexington it was the madison central girls golf team shooting a school record 295 to take first place at the lady bronco classic which was hosted by frederick douglass high school claire beth ramsey was 270 tied for first and then won the championship in a the second hole of a playoff elizabeth everybody with a plus 173 it was third and abby buchanan and molly neely were plus 476 and tied for ninth also on saturday the madison central boys golf team was at lakeside golf course in lexington competing in the henry clay invitational they shot a plus three 291 and took second place it was clay pendergrass with a five under 67 a tie for second and warren thomas and hayden wash both at plus 274 to tie for ninth in cross-country action madison central's kiara o'shea and brady masters swept the titles at the bourbon county colonel charge in paris that's uh that was held on the course that will play host to the state tournament our state championship here in just a few weeks so good preparation for them of course so kiara and brady have uh two straight weeks have opened the season with two straight wins no surprise they are the two top ranked runners in the state in class 3a and will be the favorites to win the state title here coming up in a few in a few weeks as well so uh tuesday tonight um we have a lot of stuff on the schedule i'm not sure what will happen with the weather but we do have great rivalry showdowns here in richmond and we've got madison central madison southern in girls girls soccer boys soccer and volleyball all here in richmond tonight uh weather depending the volleyball is at seven o'clock at central um boys soccer and girls soccer six and eight at bellevue depending on the weather may have to move it over the turf field not sure yet we'll keep you updated on our social media sites so richmond our sports
