Next-generation Infantry Fighting Vehicle – Project Land 400 Phase 3admin
We’re here in the field testing the Redback and Lynx infantry fighting vehicles through a range of tactical scenarios that will be realistic to how they’re employed in the future. Everything through individual vehicle crafts being, conducting cresting drills, supporting each other in tactical manoeuvre, right through to conducting assaults and attacks on objectives, and also conducting defensive activities to fully test the systems of the infantry fighting vehicles. The biggest thing about the infantry fighting vehicle is it will allow infantry corps to contribute further to the joint land combat. The capabilities and systems on this vehicle allows the infantry the fight with the vehicle, not just from the vehicle. It allows us to move further in the battlespace, under armour, with full situational awareness. Incredibly proud to be here as a part of Land 400 Phase 3 at the start of the Armored Infantry Capability. These platforms represent a fundamental leap in capability to be here at the start, for what is going to be a vehicle that supports us for multiple generations, is something that’s extremely important to the team.
