basically be able to determine the entire state of the laser's well-being physical health possibly his marriage prospects all depending on how heavily he's breathing at the beginning of this so it's all been revealed guys cats cats has foreseen his entire life going forward now yeah but but breathing is good rabbit like breathing is you know it can release tension so he's definitely tense but he's also doing a good a good job of breathing so maybe he can shake it off and bring the series home i'd love to see that all right well we're going to start down here in the bottom left-hand side of the map on top of the blue zerg player from team x-com ago he is a laser and in the top right hand side playing for mouse sports for more than 11 years or something like that it is hero marine you know one of these days we're going to hit a point where hero marine is going to have been on mousesports for longer than some new players will have lived we're going to have like a 14 year old up-and-comer and in just like a few years it's gonna be like here marie is gonna say oh yeah well what year were you born i was like i was born in like 2008 like nine or 2010 or something is it like yeah that was the year i joined my pro gaming team [Music] these kids man these kids kids these days robby they join teams then they don't leave them i know loyalty man kids these days yeah all right well hero marine not really a kid anymore but he was very much so when he joined the scene when he joined mouseport he was one of the uh hottest new prospects that we had in the scene and then now he is a staple one of the big four um but hardly ever considered one of the big three right like he really needs to make just that little extra step to uh solidify himself at the very very top of europe but he's nearly there closer than anyone else yeah i mean he has been acting as the gatekeeper for a little bit of time and i think there's still a few prospects that are trying to break their way through that gate such as you know the showtime a pax packs now a laser and even more recently lambo so it is gonna be a question of whether or not the gabe can be opened but for now this is gonna be uh one of those opportunities for elaser try and prove something this uh this season i guess yeah and laser has been knocking on that game for a little while he did take the last engagement open the gate i guess for a quick second took a sneak peek and then bounced right out but uh we'll see as you you know there's also like the likes of you thermal who did convincingly defeat a laser um in one of his last matches your thermal a little bit more aggressive more proactive than hiro marine tends to be in tvp hero marina a lot of the time used likes to consolidate his army he's been known for his macro for a very long time one of the best macro terrans in the world really so uh we'll see if they live to the reputation yeah i think when i think of hero marine versus you thermal it's here marine is kind of the guy who would write the textbook on how to play terran and it would have some of the variations and stuff that you were supposed to do as a taren player like it would have some proxies and stuff not a ton of information or anything or a ton of detail about them but it would have a bunch of that you thermal is the guy who writes the really really in-depth crazy team liquid blog post or like in the strategy section about these kind of like out there strategies and stuff and it's like yeah you know he finds actually a pretty surprising amount of success with them because that's sort of your thermal style but they're very different types of terrans for sure yeah most definitely um a laser as methodical as he ever is he already had two queens at the third base when it finished drops a creep tumor and an inject instantly however one of his tumors already got sniped this seems like small stuff but it's the kind of stuff that will bother a laser right in an interview before maybe like a year ago he said even if he loses one certainly he will feel thrown off to some degree because it's just not what he's used to yeah that is uh gonna be something you'll have to overcome for sure we do already have that fourth hatchery being thrown down we have a layer coming on up so a laser is definitely gearing up to try and get into a nice setup position where he's got decent number of bases good economy going and yeah just really really just trying to say yeah i'm not going to worry about any of the early game pressure you put on i'm just going to defend perfectly with my queens and get some good creeps for it going [Music] yeah excellent spread so far he's now gonna go back with a lot of queens to inject and he's gonna triple inject the natural actually which i kind of love because those queens were out there making sure that the creep was spread and protecting that creep spread so now kind of stacking those those uh injects so that he can go back out there and continue to do exactly just that a handful of marines are making their way on forward over to the fourth base location gonna find an overlord that's not gonna supply block a laser he is the master of overlords and making sure he's prepared to lose a few but we got the medevacs loading on up over toward potentially the main base or the third base we'll see where he goes main base it is a couple of certain spot this out by a bit of time and uh yeah kiermann's gonna have to pick up and get out of there solid defense from a laser very very well done he already has this fourth on location that queens are going to show up themselves at the fourth which is gonna proc hiro marine to try and go into the third there is a sporter however and a laser not really finding out his queens which means this metabox will drop once again i'm not sure if i like that choice from big gabe as he's gonna be forced to put to just you know load back back up after losing a few marines i think he would have been best served by just continuing his run as there was already a sizeable number of queens in that area and the links were sure to follow a laser looking really on point cass i'm already regretting my prediction because it was right after we went to break and i was like oh man i didn't know a laser was tweeting all these really sad things and stuff that that's usually what happens right before a player just starts playing out of their mind well and that's this is this is already a really i mean it's not by any means like your marine is super far behind or anything i don't want to paint that kind of picture but a laser is definitely showing that he is on point today yeah i love that the reason that you would have changed your prediction isn't because you would have felt bad for a laser but because you think that a laser feeling bad gives him an edge this is okay look cats i have this theory about starcraft players and i have rarely been proven wrong about it well certainly this game is looking like you might be proven right as the laser is doing very very well in this early game he has shut down all the aggression this is exactly what turk was the onus of aggression often falls on terra and the hero marine hasn't committed too many resources to anything and we have already mentioned that he is one of the best defensive and macro terrans out there he has not accomplished anything and if you leave a stir to do whatever they want then the third by this time will be able to take an economic lead another one of these drops gets cleaned up a nice widowmine connection over there actually ends up getting 13 kills total on that widow mine uh mostly all the lanes and everything the bailings did manage to survive and this drop in the bottom right is still getting pushed back and here we're doing a nice job sniping off these bailings off of creep yeah and that's where elisa could have benefited perhaps from just moving past the army a little bit obviously it's impossible to pay attention to everything so difficult to fold them a lot of the time you just attack move and hero marine to his credit identifying that that's the case does focus fire like three or four buildings before loading back up one bailing will detonate into one marine which is also not ideal ideal for a laser so the last couple of minutes a little bit better by hero marine but it's very small steps yeah absolutely one thing i do want to note though is that yes heroine has absolutely been trying to scan and clean up creeping he's actually doing a nice job over here getting most of the behind the creep tumor oh these little mines are starting to hurt a little bit but also just uh i have to say a laser is chasing pretty far off of creep as well and i feel like that's also where hirome is finding a lot of these edges in the fight yeah beautiful wall up here those three veils are not gonna cut it either more bailings on the way but there is a tank there too the widow mines are likely to find good shots good split in the last second therefore a laser to not lose all of his failings hero marine free spreading already those suvs knowing that the bailings might go after the mineral line but it's actually a laser that commits to try and chase after the army the mineral line unthreatened those paintings are not in the best position ever to be completely honest either because think about it where would the marines have to be going for those two veins to be effective right you need either a full ramp or for hero marine to be taking a very weird passing towards a base that's not really just there at all yeah i guess it's a little bit of a catch 22 there because if you put them a little bit too far further down then the scan actually just would have caught it right there but well we see that a lot of the creep is getting cleaned up over here that is one thing that still lasers been doing a nice job off with this both run by but also just keeping that crease spread going pretty far out heroin still has to work his way a good bit further forward through a lot of creep to get in range of one of the bases right now yeah yeah and i was talking about just a different position for the banks on the ramp um still you can see you can see laser kind of try to get uh some use out of those paintings if he baits with like an overlord or you know a little a little bit of a pocket army that looks like it's been forgotten and then hero marine if he clicks to turn the corner um around that corner and goes for an army like where a laser has this army right now is good if you're a marine corps actually this might work out oh oh this is perfect i can't completely correct it as those paintings are gonna get a marvelous hit onto the army of hero marine and uh yeah he will get pushed back with that fantastically done uh now we do have two two finished up over here for hero marine for a little bit he has three three on the way he's gonna be taking these fights against one one zerglings and bailings and lasers gonna have to back off he'll start to chase a little bit too far off of creve a couple of bandlings going to sacrifice their lives for hey not too bad of a connection on some of those marines but this is going to be one of those situations where laser is gonna probably have to give us the ground until the reinforcements arrive and now we can start to go on in widowmind connection not too bad for the first one second one not as good yeah very good splits from elise for this time around against those widow mines now he's going to push him forward there's not too much more for hiro marine but he still has that defensive wall albanian burrows which will damage a lot of the army of a laser maybe forced into to uh or hoping to force a scan and uh yeah this is actually pretty good for a laser who's continuing to swarm here has to be careful with that we don't mind but the oversteers have been made aware and actually dragon fire onto the marines a beautiful job from those overseers from the laser and now the rest of the army of laser is here it's a lot of army actually the supply in favor of hero marine but i don't know where it is they're certainly not here that widow might have to be a hero and it absolutely is ravi there's only four paintings left and they're actually gonna try to flank and get and make way for those links but they're all depleted as hero marine will push the laser back oh the queens oh the queens were trying to get involved in the fight they were making their very slow journey off of creep they're all gonna end up going down and those are the creep spreading queens so that is gonna make it a bit harder to replenish a lot of the creep that's about to be cleaned up here because a laser still needs a bit more time for his 18 bailing smith job he's only on 23 work or 23 zerglings now going up to 41 but this base is already under attack he's already very light on units right now and just the liberator is going home on these workers yeah some of these water mines are getting excellent hits on a lot of clamped up units that we don't mind on the side of your marine was like a huge life saver for him because otherwise he would have to deal with like six more or something mainly so at least we're continuing to try to make magic happen with those borough paintings we'll see if he is able but now lagging behind 40 supply or so it's getting a little bit rough yeah this liberator is also just still causing so much havoc over here it's not quite in range of any of the drones i think if he moves a little bit further forward you'll be able to find something a bit later on but hero marine has already cleaned up a lot of the crease right on the front lines as well so i think he's maybe only one or two screens away from getting in range of that hatchery yet again and i think that even on the top left-hand side a lot of the creep spread has not really gone too much further forward so your marine does have definitely has some avenues that you can try and attack in from yeah gabe is already maxed he released an absolute macro beast now a little squadron of marines to threaten on the other side a very nice angle for hiro marine to drop that means the units of eliza are gonna have to go around that little debris in the middle a hatchery will fall things are starting to look very very good for gabe as the laser continues to run out of options the bailings turn around i'm not sure if that's the best idea of creeps so medevacs will falter too friendly fire but a laser will be forced to tap out and hear a marine i don't want to say a decisive game one to be honest i think elisa had plenty of openings and had he been able to go after those suvs and he did find he did carve away to the mineral line a couple of times but ran out of units barely before kind of like ravaging it right yeah i think there was there's even like this one moment where he did get it all the way over to the third base of your marine and there was like this funny moment where there's that you know there's that pillar around like the south side of the third base that kind of divides the map in like two different sections all of the bailings went to the left-hand side and i would say a majority of the lengths went to the right-hand side so all these marines were sitting there kind of like just choked up around these supply depots and the lings are having a really hard time actually busting through so the bailings are just kind of left to fend for themselves they went after a few of those suvs but which are getting split off and then some reinforcements came so the bailings went after those alone but the lings are all just sitting back there fighting like one by one and kind of like spartan single file line territory against the marines and kind of gradually dying he saw like the ling's even survived or like made it until like basically the end of the fight but i think there was like that was one of the things that i feel like if those links had been able to just wrap around instead and help out with the suv line or support the bailing something i could definitely have seen a laser making a bit more damage happen there maybe taking some momentum yeah i know exactly what moment you're talking about at the very end of that moment actually laser pulled two of the main links that have made it through to make way for his hurtings but there was one circling left right so yeah that was an issue then um also a little bit of indecision whether to go after the mineral line or the army with the main links i understand wanting to zone the army for the links to the damage to the mineral line but there was barely any links left was the problem that one wouldn't mind like i said if it doesn't go off and kills like 10 bane links in that instance then he can kind of do both uh which would have been the ideal case scenario for a laser but he had to readjust on the fly not able to find the damage he was looking for unfortunately and with that like we said the gabe taking the lead a lacer needs this map like he really really needs this map in the bottom left-hand side of the map the aego third player blue in this instance it is a laser [Music] yep x-com ago or echo uh up here in the top right hand side we have the red taran player from mouth sports he is euromarine [Music] ago we should ask our polish production how they would say ago kasha how would you say ago we're not getting a response no you're not getting a response sorry man you're you're on your own i'll go she said ago she said not sure no she said i would say ago but i'm not okay no okay all right i'll go it is xcom ago all right well here we are robbie glad we solved it i mean now we have now we have the entire early game to kill i i feel like we shouldn't have solved that uh us quickly yeah i mean i so i would say like going back to that first game because i think that is there is something i do want to talk about there is that i feel like a laser we were talking about he had a really really solid defense against a lot of the early drop pressure and everything the one place where it felt like maybe he was losing a little bit of his theme on the defense and herobrine is like finding some bailing snipes finding little bits of damage and we were saying this it wasn't like game ending it wasn't like the game decider by any means but just kirby was starting to find little victories here and there was the fact that it felt like a laser was not just chasing the drops and stuff on creep he started chasing drops and stuff off of creep and that's where the terran stem and micro potential really really starts to kick in versus wings and veins yeah most definitely now for for me if i had to pin into something as far as the lasers playstyle i think a lot of the time he is excellent at multitasking he's excellent at macro at getting everything behind uh he's very good at making a lot of overloads but uh one thing where he falters sometimes against widowmix in particular is he attack moves into the the bio army and just kind of forgets about it which is completely understandable because he wants to keep up with everything else but against widowmines that can be really really punishing if it's just marines you do that fine like they'll kill some they'll kill some links but eventually they'll have to retreat and you're buying time and that's fine but widowmans can get really nasty shots on clumped up units for for a laser and we've seen it in the last game and we saw it in his series from the thermal those widowmines have been nasty to him he has i think to be able to reposition his army and to chase after the army of uh hiro marine kind of like going forward and and past and getting surrounds so that the widow mines will stand a chance to splash hiro marines army also um easier said than done obviously uh yes there is a million things that they have to do but i think yeah against widowminds that might be a good adjustment i think in in some ways you're absolutely right like easier said than done but you're facing off against some of the top players in not just like the european scene of course this is europe but these are some of like the top-notch players in the world your marine is a global contender in a lot of ways like there aren't a lot of shortcuts at some point cassie yeah you just have to be really really good exactly yeah so so i mean i think that that would be the next step right i'm not saying i could do it better than a laser or i would do it better than laser i'm saying this is what i've noticed a laser i think could do to um to take it to the next level at least against mindly yeah as we know when a commentator says that there's maybe something that could be done potentially better it usually means that they themselves think that they could have done it better and they're better than farrell or rainer and all that right as we always know yeah uh also uh our wonderful you know host not for today but uh sometimes host polaris says it is in fact ago very nice e uh we do have a heli and of course a banshee of follow-up over here so this is gonna be the good old stock standard we've been seeing ever since the wings of liberty days many many a time but there is an armory being added on behind this as well pretty early on yeah this opener has given me ptsd a many a time there was a time a period in time where 4g just did this every game when he was uh near his peak in tvc and it was just unstoppable you knew it was coming you could well i could not stop it so um it is a it is a troublesome open opener i think the banshees are in the in the hands of a good player very well equipped to kind of find damage in spite of their being sport crawlers they can always position on the sides and kind of like look for shoving of drones on the working on the assimilators and such this is a lot of heliums as well now morph now are morphing into hell bats there is four bailings morphing for a laser i'm not sure if that will be enough as hero marine is gonna focus fire a lot of them two will pop right in front of the hell but this will help help out a lot the queen's not super fanned out but they are protecting the rest of the vein links so the rest of the veins should get a clean up the banshees have already forfeited their brethren as they have gone instead for the third but brilliant pullback from a laser whilst just relying on those phoenix morphing and the queens to clear up the bailings that was or the hellbox that was a very successful defense absolutely it got a little bit scary there but the one those extra set of band links did finish off man a laser got a very very nice clean up and now here marine is looking for some damage but even just not allowing one one extra drone to die over there a laser's got all his queens pulled over he's got the rest of his drones transferring around queens and the main base ready to snipe off one of those banshees even gets it so can't one shot the workers anymore a laser's gotta be feeling good after that start yeah lovely maneuver as well from a laser to the side for the evo chamber or something like a spore which would get like much quicker uh shut down from the banshees so good presence of mind there to uh save that drone and to kind of waste the banshee's time and without their energy right they no longer have cloak they're a lot easier to deal with now and the laser is getting set with a sparkler in that base to make sure that that one banshee in the middle has some trouble escaping yeah it's not even like we're in a situation where a laser defended but cut a lot of drones and is just kind of starting to play catch up now no he's been at that 79 worker count even snipes off that last banshee but he's basically the last minute or so just been making units he's been making army supply he's been making more bailings getting up his upgrades so he's not kind of in like that catch-up situation over here he's already got the workers that he managed to defend with and now he just gets to focus on having the army ready for the next attack yeah and here's where it's where where i start sweating a little bit i i just released a big breath myself ravi that is because uh we're going into that face of the game where hero marine has looked dominant and where you thermal looked really good against at least this is not a good choice you do not go after that tank i think that was a very expensive tank for a laser to take down does manage to finish it off which i wasn't even sure that he was going to be able to but at a steep cost i think as far as those links uh resource for resource that can't be a good trade um still if he really wants to reset the tank count i think maybe it's fine but uh could have gone after the marines instead and i think he would have uh dealt with them and then potentially the tank even though there was a joke available so let's see what happens the laser still has very very good creep spread but again we're going into the widowmine face that has given elixir so much trouble especially because he chooses to stay oh beautiful nice he chooses to stay on linkedin for a little bit longer than most but look at this ravi ah a nice couple of pick-offs over here finding a few sdvs they're still transferring over to that uh top center base medevac is also getting picked up in the center of the map unable to find a whole lot more damage over here now laser has to be careful not to overstay his welcome but so far he's getting some decent trades widowmine's gonna be going off on a large chunk of lanes but at the same time the other locations are not so safe bayless comes swarming on forward all right let's see what happens here as the laser is looking in two places at once not super paying attention to the left hand side the 12 suvs will fall total the laser retains a little bit of a worker lead here at 85 versus 76 borough on the way so we'll see a lot of similar trends to his cbts in both against the thermal match up and the previous game against hero marine he is keeping up and upgrades both players at uh just starting to two at the moment and a laser with a relatively quick hive as well so if he can keep this up and get to those whole threads i haven't yet seen him in either of those two series get to ultras in a position where he feels or or he is comfortable right it's always been from very far behind already yeah uh we're now at laser at 95 workers somewhere out there chef is uh you know smiling and just knows zerg player they're living up to their potential right now i can feel it as the laser even establishes another base to make use of all of those workers if you can continue to defend against the attacks from hero marine long enough for that massive massive economy to start paying off to get up that high tech that you were talking about and get into a good position with the ultras from a nice economy uh yeah a lasers might he might not be able to change the pace of how things went last game uh this trade maybe not going quite as well for him but burrowed yeah very nice job so hero marine they're doing the right thing to some degree right because he stops paying attention to a fight that he knows he's one but a laser burrows to vanes hoping that hiro marine wasn't looking he was indeed not looking and gets himself a nice victory on that side of things uh yet still i think if it wasn't for those bailings that would have been a terrible trait for a laser i think he has to stop over extending off of creep especially while he's getting the uh adrenaline uh glance for his third links as well as the ultra cavern i would love to see some investors perhaps or just kind of hold off until ultras until you're a little bit more comfortable and engaged whenever your opponent threatens your creep instead he does have some money to waste he does have some supplies to utilize to utilize as he has already maxed but he has to be careful regardless yeah he's also used a lot of his bailings in these defenses he's down to just 12 and isn't making any more right now the ultra cavern only just not finished up so there's not gonna be any upgrades on the old beautiful it's not really a reliable defense especially with how many marauders are still around bailiffs go for a big run by they are going to have a hard time finding connections until the very end and then they find the connections they want lings to back it up as well yeah this is beautiful in the last couple of engagements we've seen at laser do what we were talking about kind of getting those per rounds before really collapsing onto the army and as a result the widow mines haven't been as deadly or they have been equally deadly for hero marine at the natural base both players kind of derping a little bit that's the laser wasn't paying attention at first with two his paintings then kira marine stopped microing his suvs and it will net a laser some nice connection as ten more suvs have gone down but zero marine being the beast that he is still at 75. oh i don't know about this one uh oh no way he gets the ball okay well the bailings are gonna be able to get the planetary for sure and the sbbs didn't really end up retreating on out so lasers gonna commit for this finds a bit of the army supply liberators gonna start working away at the poor ultra that uh takes the pit stop trying to knock out on one of the command centers and a laser even starting to break through into the natural a little bit a big win over here for a laser this whole thing even the supplies are even but a laser's economy his base count is just so much higher yeah exactly so here's where laser needs to reel back his aggression his killer instinct he always has that ready to go i love that there's a spider on the way to account for those liberators but right now i mean i don't even know if those whole tracks need to be on the aggressive they don't yet have the characters upgrades it's only now about to finish then they're still going to need their speed upgrade to be fully effective especially off of creep but here's the problem if ballista continues to kind of waste army it could be troublesome on the counter offense from hero marine so i think i think it would be good for him to just defend waste wait for those corrupters regroup and then go with his full army however this is still finding a lot of damage as hero marines army is on the other side of the map will evacuate that third base but like you said ravi he has the economic lead already right like he doesn't need to do this right now yeah it is a tough call because it's like you were saying right if your opponent's army is all committed to going on the offensive that they're not going to have as much to defend as well but wow is that ultra actually it's actually going to make it out there alive well done ultra but you do have to be really careful one of the bases already went down liberty's now speeching up inside the main base of sport crawler maybe going to be able to get a little chip damage but mostly on the medevacs before it goes down uh this is where the hive is and a lot of other things the army on the right hand side also gonna start going after some of these hatcheries this is where heroin is really starting to strike back if he kills off one more of these bases with that force on the right that's actually gonna be pretty detrimental over here to laser's economy that was his big lead yeah exactly so those painlings are really happy right now but yeah i think that if elise are just grouped up and defended and pushed back this attack from hero marine hero marine might have as well just use it but as it stands from these attacks and elise are being perhaps a little bit overeager and over aggressive hero marine actually gains a supply lead again i still like the position of laser because he has so much more real estate and more workers than hero marine so hero marine still has to make something happen but hero marine has to make something happen not a laser yeah i i'm kind of with you but man cats right now the army supply really does have me worried right now for a laser here marine gonna start unloading his medevacs worth of marines his marauders finding a nice choke point at one of the most important mining bases right now for a laser somewhere out there drogo standing up with his fist in the air shouting and yelling hear marine you can do it we're gonna see if we can do it over here as the laser charges on forward a lot of the ultras taking big hits from the liberators and the widow mines yeah extending fire off of creep i don't mind a little poke from a laser in the back because it was just 10 links and stuff like that stuff like that you can definitely do just don't commit too much this ultra's the last thing that he has if it goes down then the laser will be in a lot of trouble the corrupter's finally helping out against that liberator a laser has to regroup this game is still very close but hero marine now establishing a fourth base here's where you know i wouldn't mind a laser looking to take back some initiative but it's now from this advantageous position compared to a couple minutes ago uh there's a burrowed bane that looks like your marine has either not noticed or just doesn't have the energy available with the economy to scan we're starting to see some little great trades over here from the lasers he tries to come in a lot of links coming from behind but end up retreating the wrong way and here are more trafficking opportunity it's done oh heart's crushing this this is so tough uh the corrupters are gonna go mostly uncontested in the air to snipe off medevacs but there are enough marines that eventually they will start be able to whittle away at those corrupters marauders are pretty heavily stemmed up but it's not going to matter hero marine takes the 2-0<br><!-- wp:image
