[vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwRZ8VwkwAQ"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][Music] hi i'm rhys and welcome to the school of architecture and the built environment at the university of newcastle i'm about to show you around some of the facilities that we have on offer for our students here so come with me and i'll give you a look [Music] this is the architecture design studio it's where most of the learning and creating happens we offer the most studio-based hands-on architecture degrees in all of australia let's go take a look it's a big open space where you're free to express your ideas and creativity everyone has their own personal design space here but there's no academic boundaries all levels of students and academics work alongside each other the school understands inspiration can happen at any time so our students have access to the area 24 7. there's kitchen facilities and a number of shared spaces where you can collaborate with other students and staff [Music] this is the makerspace here we've got access to a lot more of the tools than we do over in the design studio we've got 3d printers a soldering station for arduino projects a huge range of hand tools ready to bring our ideas to life the computer labs are also open students 24 7. when it's time to show off your work we can output to large format printers and plotters next door is the architecture and built environment workshop where there's more serious tools and equipment available including welders cnc machines and laser cutters so they're the spaces that we learn but there's so much more our school focuses on solving real world problems so that when you graduate you'll be able to meet whatever challenges you may face come and learn to design for change at the university of newcastle we hope to see you on campus soon [Music]<br><!-- wp:image {"id":1776,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} -->rn<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img class="wp-image-1776" src="https://en.videoencontexto.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Tour_of_the_School_of_Architecture_EwRZ8VwkwAQ.jpg" alt="Tour of the School of Architecture" /></figure>rn<!-- /wp:image -->[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
