Worldwide Progress of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community | Jalsa Salana UK 2021 | Session 3

I bear witness that there is nonenworthy of worship except Allah. He is One and has no partner. and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw)nis His Servant and Messenger. After this I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the accursed. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. All praise belongs to Allah,nLord of all the worlds. The Gracious, the Merciful, Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee alone do we worship andnThee alone do we implore for help. Guide us in the right path – The path of those on whom Thounhast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred displeasure, and those who have not gone astray. On this day, the work thatnis done over the entire year and the blessings of Allahnthe Almighty are mentioned. The reports are extensive and althoughnthey have been summarised, I will briefly make a mention of onlynsome of these, or some of their details. By the grace of Allah the Almighty, the number of new chapters established by the Jama’at across the world this year, outside of Pakistan, is 403. Aside from these new chapters, the Jama’at was established for thenfirst time in 829 new locations; that is, where one, two, or several individualsnjoined the Jama’at for the first time. In terms of establishing new chapters and thenJama’at being established in new locations, Nigeria is at the top of the list. 99 [new] chapters werenestablished there this year. Congo Kinshasa is in second place and SierranLeone is in third place with 40 [new chapters]. This is followed by other countries such as the Gambia, Ghana, Liberia etc.nand some European countries. With regards to incidents relating tonthe establishment of new chapters, the Missionary in Charge of São Tomé writes thatnonly three islands of São Tomé are populated. On the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe, nthe Jama’at has already been established and mosques have been constructed as well. By the grace of Allah the Almighty, nthis year, in June 2021, the Jama’at was establishednin the third island as well. Our local Mu’allimeenn[religious teachers] went there and preached the message [of Islam Ahmadiyyat]. By the grace of Allah, our Missionary followednthem there as well and met the people. The message of Ahmadiyyat had already reachednthem and as a result of their preaching, Allah the Almighty enabled ten individuals tonleave Christianity and accept Islam. This is a very small island with anpopulation of less than a hundred. Its entire area is two square kilometresnand is located directly over the equator. Nevertheless, Allah the Almighty enabled us tonestablish the Jama’at on this island as well. The Missionary in Tanzania writes that three ofnour Mu’allimeen went to a village in the region in order to do Tabligh [propagatenthe message of Islam Ahmadiyyat]. Tablighi programmes were held, people attentivelynlistened to the message of the Jama’at and 60 individuals accepted Ahmadiyyat. With regards to this, he says that the local Imam called him on the phone and said that your Mu’allimeen have come here and are trying to cause disorder and my people are joining them. Send your Mu’allimeen again so that we can sit down and speak together so that they stop preaching. Nevertheless, during the phonencall, the Mu’allim arrived, upon which he said that the Mu’allimnhas arrived and hung up the phone. He started repeating himselfnto the Mu’allim saying that this is not a good thing that you have done. You are pulling my people away. A Maulvi [religious cleric] is only concernednfor himself as his provisions are tied to this. Nevertheless, our Mu’allim startednpreaching to him as well. The local Imam continued to oppose him andnpeople started to gather around. However, during the discussionnwith the local Imam, people started gathering aroundnand as a result of this, another 30 individuals accepted Ahmadiyyatnafter hearing the message of the Jama’at. This Sunni Imam is now sitting in his mosque andna mere handful of individuals come to him. By the grace of Allah, a newnJama’at of approximate 100, or 90 individuals has been establishednthere and by the grace of Allah, they also started participating in the system ofnChanda [making financial sacrifices]. In Guinea Conakry, nthere is a village called Dunkhe. A delegation of ours went there to preach. People from the Islamic League had greatly frightened and threatened these people that God forbid, Ahmadis are disbelievers, nthat they have no connection with Islam and that they should not listennto single word of theirs. However, when the message of thenPromised Messiah (as) was conveyed to them and when they were informed of thenprophecies of the Holy Prophet (sa) in relation to the Imam Mahdi, whonwas to appear in the Muslim nation, they openly expressed that we used to hear fromnour elders about the disorder of the latter days and the advent of a reformer. As such, we believe your words to be true. [Subsequently,] the entire village, nincluding the Imam, entered the fold of Ahmadiyyat and thenJama’at was formally established there. People greatly frightened and warnednthem following this as well. The Arab Muslims, who lived in theirnsurroundings and supported them, as well as individuals from thenIslamic League frightened them. However, they replied that the faith we havenacquired after accepting Ahmadiyyat and the pleasure we have startednto perceive in our worship were not acquired or perceivable prior to this. By the grace of Allah the Almighty, nwe are now Ahmadi Muslims and we will remain Ahmadi Muslims forever. You may say what you please, butnwe will not step away from this. There are some decent Imams as well and by the grace of Allah the Almighty,nHe opens their hearts as well; they listen to the message, understand itnand enter [the fold of Ahmadiyyat]. The Missionary in Charge of São Tomé writesnthat the missionary of the Jama’at, Hammad Sahib, went to a village to preach alongnwith the local Mu’allim, Sulayman Yusuf Sahib. The message of Islam was being presentednfor the first time in this village. While they were preaching, nan individual by the name Edson Sahib, who was sitting there, started to say thatn‘I was not a Muslim before today, ‘but I testify that the Ahmadiyya Jama’atnis an excellent community’. He said that I live in PortonAlegre, a village nearby. The message of Islam reached the village anlittle while ago through the Jama’at. Naming the Ahmadis of the village, he started saying that their morals greatlynimproved after becoming Ahmadis. We have only witnessed positiventhings in the Jama’at and all of us should leave Christianity (he was,nor is a Christian) and enter the fold of Islam. I should say that he was [a Christian] not is, as the aforementioned individualnannounced there and then that he is entering the fold of Islam Ahmadiyyatnand also did Bai’at [pledged initiation]. After hearing his words, several other individuals made an announcementn[of accepting Ahmadiyyat] as well and as such, a new chapter wasnestablished there as well. A Mu’allim in Tanzania says that a delegation ofnours arrived in the village of Lowaha in order to propagate the true message of Islam. Not a single Ahmadi lived there andnonly a few Muslims lived in the entire village. They met an individual called ‘Uthman and thenmessage of Ahmadiyyat was conveyed to him. After learning more about the Jama’atnduring several meetings, he expressed his desire to do Bai’at. Following this, he startedntaking us from door to door. A passion for Tabligh was formed in him and gradually, some people fromnthis nation joined the Jama’at. The local Muslims would go to a nearby villagenin order to offer the Friday prayers. When the Muslims of the area found out that people were gradually enteringnthe Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, they started to incite the new converts secretly. In this manner, the other Muslims startednto create obstacles in the outreach efforts. There was a proposal to usena house as a Salat Center. However, they began to spread the misconceptionnthat a house can not be used for prayers. Then the new converts found a plot ofnland for the construction of a mosque. The so called Muslims of the area startednspeaking with the owner of the land so the Ahmadis are not able to obtain that land. Despite all of these hurdles, by the Grace of Allah Almighty the number of Ahmadis is increasing in this village and a new chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been established there. There are countless similar incidentsnbut I will leave them aside for now. In regards to the construction of new mosques and the mosques which have come into thenpossession of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community: During the year, the number of mosques which the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communitynwas able to construct is 135, and the number of ready-made mosquesnthat were acquired is 76. So the total number of the mosques (newly constructed mosques & ready-made mosques that were acquired) is 211. In Africa, the largest number of mosques that were newly constructed was in Ghana and the total number is 31. Then there is Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Benin, andnTanzania are some of the other countries. In Principe, the Island, the first mosque of thenAhmadiyya Muslim Community was constructed. As I have mentioned before, the Communitynwas established from beforehand in the three populated Islands of Sao Tome. In the three populated Islands, mosques have been establishednfrom beforehand in Sao Tome. This year, there is a village Port Royale, nin the other Island of Principe, where the first mosque was constructed. A Christian friend who attendednthe mosque opening stated that there was no Muslim livingnin our Island before. We were being told by the media thatnIslam is a very bad religion. However, since the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communitynhas been established in [our] Island, we have come to find out that Islam isna very good and peaceful religion. We will all live here [peacefully]. There were many other guestsnwho gave similar expressions. In Belize, ‘Masjid Nur’, the first mosque of thenAhmadiyya Muslim Community was constructed. This mosque covers 2 acres approximately. The foundation stone of this mosquenwas laid in December 2019. 220 people can offer their prayers in this mosque.nIt is a very beautiful mosque. It has a missionary office, a mission house, a library, a guest house [that is]na room for guests to stay. From Belize there are two main highways, one goes towards Mexico and thenother goes towards Guatemala. The highway on the South goes towards Belize. Masjid Noor is located on the highwaynwhich goes towards Guatemala. It is 2 miles away from the city center. So when someone from Guatemalangoes to Belize city, they can see that this mosque is 1kmnfrom the first major roundabout and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communitynis building a sign board there and the mosque is visible from there as well. In Central America, after Guatemala, nthis is the second country where the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communitynwas able to build a mosque. For the construction of this mosque, three brothers from Canada wentnthere on a voluntary basis. They also played a significant role in thenconstruction of a mosque in Canada. They are Mansoor Sahib, Manzoor Sahib and FareednSahib and Mudathir sahib, the fourth one. In any case, they arrived innBelize and worked there. At first the construction cost of this mosquenwas estimated to be 1.5 million US dollars. However, after the efforts of these volunteersnthis mosque was constructed for 525000 US dollars and a very beautiful mosque was created. The local people also made great sacrificesnfor the construction of this mosque. In the USA there was a plan tonconstruct a monument in Zion. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USAnwanted to construct a monument in Zion in relation to the fulfilment and the truthfulnessnof the prophecy of the Promised Messiah (as). Two years ago, a ten-acre land was purchased. The project was to construct a mosquenand an exhibition hall there. The cost estimation of this project isnapproximately four million dollars. By the Grace of Allah this amount was collected. Lajna Amaillah USA, the women auxiliary organization of thenAhmadiyya Muslim Community USA, collected 1.75 million dollars approximately and stated that we will take care ofnthe construction of this mosque. In this manner, the Lajna ImaillahnUSA, is building this mosque. It is quite a large mosque. Its basement is six thousand square feet. Then there are different floors fornmen and women to offer prayers. This will be the first mosquenin the history of Zion city. Also, an exhibition hall will be built. And information about the prophecynof the Promised Messiah (as) and his victory will be displayednon digital screens. Construction of a minaret similar tonMinaret-ul-Masih (in Qadian) is also included in this project. Anyways, this is quite a big project beingncarried out by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA. May Allah the Almighty enablenthem to complete it quickly. There are also incidents in relationnto the [construction] of Mosques which are included in the reports from the different chapters of thenAhmadiyya Muslim Community Worldwide. The National President of Liberia writes that a mosque was being constructed innone of the chapters in Bomi County. Adama Sahib, the local Missionary (Mu’alim),nalong with some members of the Community were doing some manual labour (Waqar-e-Amal)nin relation to the construction of this mosque when a non-Ahmadi Imam passed by andnenquired who was constructing this mosque. Missionary Sahib informed him that we arenAhmadis and I am a Missionary of the Community and this mosque is being constructednby the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The non-Ahmadi Imam stated that I have heardnthat Ahmadis are not good Muslims but you seem to be constructingnthis mosque with great passion. You are a Missionary and you are workingnside by side with the people. Muallim sahib gave this person andetailed introduction of Ahmadiyyat which interested him even more andnhe invited Muallim sahib to his area so that the beliefs of the AhmadiyyanMuslim Community could be discussed further. When Muallim sahib went to hisnvillage on the appointed date, there were representativesnfrom four other villages along with their respective Imams gathered there. The message was propagated to them and the beliefs of the Ahmadiyya Communitynwere presented in an elaborate manner and a question and answer session was held. Therefore, by the Grace of Allah Almighty, all four Imams along with their peoplenentered the fold of Ahmadiyyat. In this manner, 410 peoplentook the oath of allegiance. Not only did they take the oath of allegiance, rather, they also started offering financialnsacrifices (Chanda) in the same month. There are also other incidents of this type. The National President of Congo Kinshasanstates that I [His Holiness] had stated that small mosques should be constructed wherever people take the oath of allegiance. Or at least salat centers should be established in such places. He states that according to this instruction ofnHis Holiness, by the Grace of Allah Almighty, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Congo Kinshasa isnable to construct many small mosques. In this regard, the passion ofnthe new converts is noteworthy. And their passion and fervour has become a source of inspiring the faith ofnthose who have been Ahmadis for a long time. The enemies oppose the constructionnof mosques and create obstacles. The Missionary in Charge of thenAhmadiyya Muslim Community Philippine states that the non-Ahmadi Muslims were opposing the construction of a central mosquenin the city of Zamboanga. For this reason, the government was notnpermitting us to start the construction since two and a half years. In relation to this, variousnobjections were raised and we were being informed from our friendsnworking for the government that the non-Ahmadinclerics were behind this opposition. Quite a few times they stated that we should withdraw ournapplication for constructing a mosque and submit an application to buildna community library instead. In this manner we can get the permission but thenpermission to build a mosque will not be granted. Anyhow, he says, “the last allegation was thatnthe mosque posed a threat to the general security. “The local mayor said that a reportnof the situation should be sent “to the leader of the local interfaithncouncil city, who was an Italian priest. “This Italian priest has been living in thenPhilippines for the last 45 years. In response to the report, the priest wrote, ‘I am aware that the Muslim clergy opposenthis mosque and the Ahmadis, ‘however according to my knowledge, the AhmadiyyanCommunity is a peaceful community. ‘I am not aware of the zoning laws and hencencannot say anything in that regard, ‘however in my view, they have every rightnto build a mosque in this area, ‘because if everyone else has the freedom ofnreligion, then this is their right as well.’” Hence, they were given permission to build thenmosque and the construction has begun. Increase in Mission Houses and Tabligh Centers: By the grace of Allah Almighty, over the year, there was an increase of 123 mission houses. Foremost in this category as well isnGhana, then Nigeria, Sierra Leone and many other countries innAfrica, Europe and Russia. The first Prayer Center and Tabligh Center built in the Macedonian city ofnKičevo is called Baitul Ahad. By the grace of Allah Almighty, the firstnCommunity and Prayer center was completed. For the foundation stone, a brick from Darul Masih [Home of thenPromised Messiah (as)] was brought from Qadian. I sent this brick to them after praying. This building comprises three floor; thenfirst floor consists of a library, Jama`at kitchen, a guest room, andnan area for performing ablution. It has a store and residence of the house master. The second floor consists of the prayer area. There are separate areas for men and women, and there is also an area fornwomen to perform ablution. The third floor consists of officesnand the missionary residence. This building has turnednout to be quite beautiful. By the grace of Allah Almighty, there is also good work beingndone by the Raqeem Press and the various printing pressesnof the Community in Africa. The number of books publishednin the printing press located in Farnham [UK]nis more than 315,000. This is aside from the variousnmagazines and pamphlets. Similarly, work is being done in printingnpresses located in other countries as well. Based on the work of Wakalat-e-Tasneef UK, the Italian translation of the Holy Qur’an that has already been published wasnrevised during the year. The Jama`ats in Canada and Italy putna great deal of effort into this. Regarding the English [translations] of thenbooks of the Promised Messiah (as), four more have been translatednand published; ‘The Holy War’, ‘Characteristics of the Godly People’, ‘Testimony of the Holy Qur’an’,nand ‘The Conclusive Argument’. Similarly, the third volume of ‘Malfuzat’nhas also been translated into English and other books are being translated. Similarly, books of the First Caliph (ra)nare being translated and will be published this year. There is also Chinese literature, such as a book on the life of the latenUsman Chini Sahib has been published. There are introductions to the variousnbooks which have been published. Different sentiments as well as conversions linkednto the books of the Promised Messiah (as)… All 23 volumes of ‘Ruhani Khaza’in’nhave also been beautifully published. The printing is very nice as well as thenbinding, and the cost is not that high. I am not sure whether they arenavailable here at the bookstall, but in any case, the bookstall here can obtainnthem by contacting Wakalat-e-Isha`at. There are also incidents of those who do bai`atnafter reading books of the Promised Messiah (as). A Missionary from Australia writes, “an Australian youngster was beingnpreached to for the past year and a half. He was given ‘The Philosophy ofnthe Teachings of Islam’ to read. After a few days, he said to me,n‘this book had left me astonished. ‘I never imagined that I would be able to finishnthis book which describes the physical, ‘moral and spiritual statenof man, within one day.’ He said, ‘The subject was presented in such anmanner that I had to read each page a few times. ‘This book has allowed me to analyse myselfnand has helped me become a better person.’” The Amir of France gave the book ‘The Philosophynof the Teachings of Islam’ to a non-Ahmadi doctor. The doctor said, “This book is notnonly for the Muslims of the world, “but is a message of peace fornall the religions of the world. “My heart inclines me to tread alongside you.” A Missionary from Congo writes, “the former vice-speaker of the Assemblynin Bakawa was gifted a copy of ‘The British Government and Jihad’nand ‘Life of Muhammad (sa)’. After reading a portion of these books, he said, ‘the manner in which the Founder of the AhmadiyyanCommunity has explained the concept of Jihad ‘seems as if it is the greatest need of the time. ‘This point of view shouldnbe adopted by all Muslims.’” Wakalat-e-Isha`at Publications: They say that according to reportsnreceived from 92 countries, 384 different books, pamphlets and folders in 39 languages were published in thenamount of 3,688,000 during the year. These languages include Arabic, Bengali,nAlbanian, Bosnian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Swahili, Kirundi and many others. According to Wakalat-e-Isha`at Dispatch, the number of books sent tondifferent countries is 75,745. Free literature is alsondistributed aside from this. There are more than 591nregional and central libraries established throughout the world whichnreceive books from London and Qadian. A lot of literature is publishednin Qadian as well. Exhibitions and Book Stalls: According to thenreports that have been received, there were 1,970 exhibitions, nin which 175,000 people participated. There were also 2,747 book stallsnand book fairs that were held. During a conversation at thenGuwahti Book Fair in India, a Nepalese Hindu introduced another Hindunfriend who was a teacher by profession, He said, “I used to think Islam is anvery strict and extreme religion, “but ever since I have learned aboutnthe true teachings of Islam from the Ahmadiyya Community, nmy view has changed.” This book fair helps to change people’s views. He says, “the peaceful teachings ofnIslam should be spread to people “so that those who become frightenednupon hearing the mere name of Islam “may also be introduced to the true Islam. “It is the Ahmadiyya Community alone “that is working to spread the truenmessage of Islam to the world.” The Amir of Australia writes, “A booknstall was about to come to an end “when an elderly Australian came and said, ‘I am very pleased with your method of propagation. ‘You do not force your views upon others. ‘In fact, you exhibit the beauty of yournreligion through your actions, ‘whereas Christians try to forcentheir religion upon others.’” Similarly, there were book fairs in Assam, in Fiji and other countries wherenpeople shared their impressions. Furthermore, in 103 countries, there wasna total of 6,984,000 leaflets distributed through which the message of Ahmadiyyatnreached more than 16,800,000 people. In this regard, Germany is at the forefront, nthen UK, Australia, Holland, Sweden, Switzerland, France, America and others. A local missionary from Tanzania writes, “there was a great deal of oppositionnto the Community in the Masai village. “The situation was such that itnwas difficult to preach there. “However one day, we went there “and after distributing pamphlets which gave annintroduction to the Community, we returned. “The next day, a person called askingnus to return to the village “as they wished to learn more about the Community. “Hence, we went there and propagated the message, “as a result of which, five people did bai`atnand entered the fold of the Community. “Thus, by the grace of Allah Almighty, “through the distribution of pamphlets,nGod Almighty granted us five bai`ats in a village “where we thought it would not benpossible to propagate the message.” A Missionary from Koupela, Burkina Faso says, “Under a scheme to propagate the message, “we sought permission from thenregional Director of Education “to propagate the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat tonall the schools and colleges in the region. “Thus, Jama`at pamphlets were distributednin all the schools and colleges “and the message was propagated. “However the Muslim organization in one collegenstopped us from distributing pamphlets, “despite the fact that we had permission from thengovernment and they staunchly opposed us. “In return, Allah Almighty bestowed His specialngrace and as a result of the preaching, “six professors from two nearby schools, includingnone college director became interested “and attended the AnnualnConvention of Burkina Faso. “During the Annual Convention, nthe college director announced “that he was entering the fold of Ahmadiyyat “and declared in front of all thenattendees at the Convention, ‘after experiencing the atmosphere of thisngathering, I declare that today, ‘I am leaving Christianity and entering into thenfold of Ahmadiyyat which is the true Islam.’” The distribution of leaflets also led tonconnections being established in France. Books stalls conducted innNepal also garnered success. Arabic Desk: This year, 13 books, bothnbig and small were sent for printing. 153 pamphlets were prepared in Arabic. And aside from the regular satellite system, MTA is being broadcast through other channelsnas well through standard television. Likewise, local T.V. channels innGhana also use MTA Ghana’s content and broadcast it onntheir own channels. As I have mentioned, MTA Africanhas also expanded significantly. MTA Africa is simultaneously broadcastingntwo channels in African languages. MTA Africa’s branches are now 11. In the various studios, programmes arenbeing produced in Yoruba, Hausa, Twi, Swahili, French, and Creole languages. The Wahab Adam studio wasnalso upgraded this year. The Gambia Studio is doing excellent work. By the grace of Allah, bai’ats are taking place through people watching MTA. The Missionary In-Charge of Cameroon writes: “40 kilometres from the capital city, nthere is a small city, “where a person performed the Bai’atnand joined the community. He relates, ‘I was watching MTA onnYouTube for a quite some time, ‘and I have acquired a wealth of knowledgenabout the community’s teachings. ‘Once my heart was satisfiednthat this Jama’at is true ‘and that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) is indeed thenawaited Mahdi and Promised Messiah, ‘I contacted a friend in Ivory Coast who, nalthough was not Ahmadi, he knew about Jamaat. ‘I asked him about the Jama’at, he confirmednthat they are, in fact, true in their claim. ‘He also provided me with the contact number ofna Mu’allim named Salman in Cameroon.’ “Now, he has joined the communitynwith his wife and children “and regularly watch the Friday Sermonnof Huzoor-e-Anwar (aba).” Similarly, there is a report sent form The Gambia which states that a formernMinister there expressed, “I have never seen a channel like this before, “the programmes for which are of such highncalibre and so professionally produced. “Even more amazing is the actual messagenbeing propagated through this channel.” He goes on, “In my free time,nI only ever watch MTA.” A young person from Sierra Leone recounts: “I listened to various speeches by thenKhalifa of the Ahmadiyya Community, “which were filled exclusivelynwith messages of peace. “Today, the world needs peace, sonI began reading about Ahmadiyyat. “After hearing these wordsnof the Khalifatul Masih, “I got in touch with a Missionarynof the Community.” Now, by the grace of Allah, he has joined thenJama’at after performing the Bai’at. At present, the number of Radio Stationsnthat the community has is 27, of which, 17 are in Mali, four innBurkina Faso, three in Sierra Leone. Aside from this, there are also other countriesnthat either have one or two stations established. A lot of outreach work is being carriednout through the radio as well. A programme via internet radionby the name of “The Call of Islam” has also commenced innthe Turkish language. It is also doing good work. Aside from the 24/7 broadcast, therenwere also other programmes which were shown on television andnradio channels in 69 countries through which the peaceful messagenof Islam was propagated. This year, 1877 hours of T.V broadcastnwere secured through 5068 programmes. Likewise, aside from our own Radio stations, 47,800 hours were secured across 10,831 programmesnbroadcasted across various radio stations. And they report, that according to a conservativenestimate, through this T.V and Radio effort, the message of Islam reached approximatelynmore than 330 million people. There are incidents of acceptance of IslamnAhmadiyyat occurring through these radio stations. Our Missionary from Mali writes that often whennAfrica comes up in conversation with non-Ahmadis, there is an impression that peoplenin Africa enter Islam Ahmadiyyat due to a lack of knowledgenand without any real interest. He writes that this impressionnis completely false. For example, a short while ago,nin the Sikasso region, Mr. Zakariyya Jageetey had the opportunitynto convert to Islam Ahmadiyyat. Mr. Zakariyya is a teacher by professionnand is fluent in both English and French. When he pledged allegiance, he has said that he had been listening tonRadio Ahmadiyya for the past 7 years and had come to pledge allegiance havingnresearched the Jamaat from all possible angle. It is after this that he has come forwardnand converted to Islam Ahmadiyyat. He stated that today, the greatest truthnin the world is in fact Islam Ahmadiyyat. Similarly in a village of the same region namednPaleena; the local Imam named Mr. Qasim arrived at the Jama‘at’s local missionnhouse and joined Islam Ahmadiyyat. At the mission house, he stated that hencompleted his studies in Morocco; he is fluent in Arabic and French and has beennlistening to Radio Ahmadiyya for a long time; after having comprehensivelynresearched into Islam Ahmadiyyat, he had no option but to accept it and convert. Our Mu’allim from Mali recounts that anperson arrived at our Mission house and said he has been listening to Radio Ahmadiyyanregularly for a long time and wishes to convert to this Jama‘at. He was quite learned. He then requested for any French literaturenavailable at the mission house, so he could benefit from it himselfnand share with his friends. Thus, not only did he convert to IslamnAhmadiyyat, but also took literature with him. Hence, after people listen to the Radio, tonprogrammes for moral training and to sermons, they are inclined towards changingnand bettering themselves. Through this medium, the moral training of people is beingncarried out in a very wonderful manner. The National Ameer of Tanzania states thatnthrough these Radio Programmes, even the inner conditions of non-Ahmadisnare seeing a reformation. A learned friend Mr. Niguelan- an engineer by profession – was one day so impressed by the RadionProgramme that he ended up coming to our Masjid. He said: “I regularly listennto Radio Ahmadiyya programmes. “Especially programmes regarding the issuenof the death of Jesus Christ (as). “The Ahmadiyya Muslim perspectivenseems to be closest to truth. “The interpretation of Islam offered “by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama‘atncan be understood with ease. “Likewise, it also offers solutionsnto the problems of our era.” He stated that he could never stopnlistening to Radio Ahmadiyya. Tarikh Waqf-e-Nau: by the grace of Allah, the total number of Waqifeen-e-Nau across thenworld is 75,522 of which there are 44,697 boysnand 30,825 girls. Pakistan has the highest number of Waqifeen, then Germany, then the U.K.,nthen India, and then Canada. Under the Department of Makhzan-e-Tasaweer, there is a great effort tonpreserve and store pictures as well. There is also the Review of Religions which has now, by Allah’s grace, nbeen running for 119 years. The Promised Messiah (as) hadnhimself started its publication. Some books of Hazrat Musleh Mau’ud (ra) arenbeing published under the Review of Religions. They also organised a ‘God Summit’, which garnered excellent results andnpeople were greatly impressed with it. The viewers have providedngreat feedback saying that we have gained certainty regarding the existencenof God Almighty through this programme. Al-Fazl International: this is being published twicenweekly since 27 May 2019, and various addresses and othernarticles are published therein. This is being viewed and readnwidely through social media, and English-speaking youth arenderiving great benefit from it. They are also doing great work. They publish articles which are educationalnand cover historical aspects. News about the Jama’at was publishednin various newspapers, and collectively it totaled 2,021 newspapers; 3,274 Jama’at related piecesnand articles were published, which reached approximately 330 million people. There is also the Ahmadiyya Archivesnand Research center (ARC). By the grace of Allah, this is also collectingnhistoric references and content, and good work is being carried out here. There is also the Markaz department of IT. This is also carrying out good work. They are working to organize thenIT department in various offices. They are working well and have assisted in the translation of some books and literature from Arabic to English. Under the Markaz department of AMJ, our Engineers and Architects go tonvarious missions and guide them. They are doing excellent work too. The International Association ofnAhmadiyya Architects (IAAAE) are also doing great worknglobally, especially in Africa. They have worked on “Water for Life”, Solar Energy systems, establishing model villages alongside some other charity organizations or building water wells in cooperation with other companies, and have done significant work on other projects towards serving humankind, by the grace of Allah. There is also Majlis Nusrat Jahan. There are currently 37 hospitals and clinicsnfunctioning in 12 countries under this scheme. There are 49 central and 14 localndoctors serving in these hospitals. There are 593 secondary highnschools, junior high schools, and middle primary schools establishednacross 11 countries as well. Here too, 21 central teachers are working. The Ansar have built anMasroor Eye Institute in Burkina Faso, which will, God-willing, soon be operational. This is also a beautiful building, and they havenconstructed this with excellent planning, keeping in view all required facilities. By the grace of Allah, very good work is alsonbeing carried out under Humanity First. It has been registered inn60 countries of the world and is also rendering commendablenservices in emergency situations. They are performing free eye surgeries as well. There are also free medical camps, andnblood is being donated through them too. They have also done remarkablenwork in charity walks. By the grace of Allah, when they go to poorncountries where they offer their services, whether it be eye-surgeries, procuring the meansnfor extracting water, or any other service, people are jubilant, which is a sight to behold. May Allah grant them furthernopportunity to serve. Then, they also distribute gifts to differentngroups of people, including prisoners. In the aspect of rebuildingnrelations with new-converts and returning or re-establishingnrelations with such individuals where connections have been cut off for a longntime or where, due to lack of communication, people became distant, Nigeria has done the most work, followed bynMali, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Cameroon, and Ivory Coast etc. Training classes and refresher coursesnfor new converts have been organised. There were 30,755 training classes organizednin 6,765 Jama’ats for new converts. The number of participants in these was 118,000. Other than this, more than 1000nImams were also given training. The number of bai’ats that took placenthis year; due to COVID restrictions, it was not possible to openlynperform Tabligh outside. There were numerous other restrictions. These restrictions werenin place last year as well, however, by the grace of Allah the Almighty, Allah has granted 125,221 bai’ats this yearnwhich is an increase of 13,000 from last year. This year, the most bai’ats have taken place innGuinea Conakry, which are more than 25,000. Then there is Cameroon, then SierranLeone, then Senegal, then Tanzania, Congo Kinshasa, and (Congo) Brazzaville, Liberia,nMali, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Benin, Ghana, Niger, Central AfricannRepublic, Chad, Uganda, Togo, Kenya, São Tomé, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, and aside from these, bai’ats have also taken place, by the grace ofnAllah, in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Somalia, Algeria, Equatorial Guinea,nEthiopia, Mauritius, Egypt, Gabon, Mauritania, South Africa,nMayotte Island, and Swaziland. By the grace of Allah, bai’ats have also takennplace in India, in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Uzbekistan and also Russia. A few individuals have also donenbai’at in Kazakhastan and Turkey. [Also in] Tajikistan, Cambodia,nSingapore, Thailand, China, Afghanistan, Georgia, Hong Kong, Japan, Sri Lanka. In European countries, [bai’ats took place]nin Germany, France, Norway, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Albania,nGreece, Ireland, Kosovo and Romania. In North America, there were bai’ats in USA, then after that in Canada, nthen Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize,nCuba, Guadalupe, Jamaica, Honduras, Cayman Islands,nEl Salvador, Puerto Rico. In South America, [there were bai’ats] in FrenchnGuyana, Guyana, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile and Surinam. Bai’ats took place this year in Australia, NewnZealand, the South Pacific and Fiji, Australia, Kiribati, New Zealand, Solomon Islands. There were bai’ats in somenArab countries as well. Some incidents with regards tonbai’ats have been sent in. The missionary of Russia writes that last year, contact was made with a Russiannindividual, Sikandar Sahib. He has studied about Ahmadiyyat and has studiednthe writings of the Promised Messiah (as). On 23 November 2020, he was able to enternthe Jama’at by performing the bai’at. In the beginning, he was advised to pray to benshown a sign of the truth [of Ahmadiyyat]. He said, “I do not seek a sign-I ask forntrue faith like Hazrat Abu Bakr (ra).” Therefore, he joined [the Jama’at] after bai’at. Likewise, a young man in Mexico had beennresearching about Islam Ahmadiyyat. His mother had become Ahmadi a few years earlier. One day, he was speaking to her about Islam andnafter asking a couple of questions, he suddenly said that “I wishnto become an Ahmadi Muslim.” Upon inquiring, he said that he had beennlearning about Islam for many years and there was a time when he had become annatheist, but Islam had removed all his doubts. He is a young man, and now after performingnbai’at, he has joined the Jama’at. The Missionary in charge of Russia writes that a 25-year-old young mannwho was interested in religion began gathering information about various groups and religious sects through the internet andnpersonal effort, in search of the truth. [We] got in touch with him throughnthe internet in 2019. He was given responses to the false information found on theninternet about the Ahmadiyya Community and he was also provided literature. He was also advised to listen tonthe Friday Sermons [of Huzoor]. For over a year, discussions on religiousnmatters took place with him. He would profess that “according to the research I have done “up till now, the Ahmadiyya Jama’at is the only representation of true Islam.” However, he was not readynto do perform the bai’at. Thus, he was told to focus on prayer, since only Allah the Almighty can opennone’s heart to accept the truth. Thus, after praying and deliberatingnfor some months, Ruslan Sahib reached out and said he wasnconvinced from a rational perspective and after praying hendid not have any reservations, therefore, he wished tonjoin the Jama’at. Similarly, a gentleman from Kyrgyzstan statesn“I have known a young Ahmadi since my childhood. “He is my neighbour, andnwe both grew up together. “This year, during Ramadan I asked himnwhy he does not come to our mosque.” The man narrating is a Muslim fromnKyrgyzstan – Talan Bego Sahib. “My friend replied, ‘When the timencomes, I will explain everything’. “Then, one month after Ramadan, Baqi camento me (the friend’s name is Baqi) “and said, ‘Now the time hasncome to explain everything.’ “In this way, he explained everythingnabout Ahmadiyyat to me, “and proved from the Holy Quran thatnAhmadiyyat is the true Islam. “Upon this, I accepted the truth of HazratnMirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), the Imam Mahdi, “and performed the Bai’at.” He is also Kyrgyzstani. Likewise, there is a report from Central Africa, nincidents from Mali, and other countries; from Algeria as well, they have all sent innincidents-Morocco and Syria are also included. A woman from Algeria, Ramini Sahiba, says, “Out of my relatives, my brother-in-lawnwas the first to perform the bai’at. “Whenever we went to his house, he wouldninvite us to watch MTA Al-Arabiyyah, “and when we would visit him again, nhe would ask us about the Jama’at. “In those days, I did not watch much TV, butnbecause of him, sometimes, I began to watch MTA. “Then, because of the Jama’at’s love for peoplenregardless of colour and race, “its humanitarian efforts, itsnrelentless defence of Islam, “its exceptional explanation ofnthe attributes of Allah the Almighty, “and seeing its enlightened commentarynof the Holy Quran, I liked this Jama’at. “During that time, I recalled the incident of “how Hazrat Salman Farsi (ra)nabandoned the worship of fire “and became a worshipper of the One God. “All this happened gradually, becausenfirst he left his nation, wealth, and riches “to sit in the companynof the men of God.” Nonetheless, she narrates the incidentnof Hazrat Salman Farsi (ra) that he eventually came to the threshold ofnHoly Prophet (sa) and performed bai’at. She says, “In any case, the decision to performnthe bai’at also became easier for me “because the Holy Prophet (sa) had advisednus to join a Jama’at in times of strife, “and because of the fulfilment of thensolar and lunar eclipse prophecy, “which was a sign of the Promised Messiah. “I understood that believing in Prophet Jesus (as)nbeing alive [in the heavens] “is a form ofnassociating partners with God, “therefore the Ahadith regarding the descent ofnthe Messiah require interpretation.” Nevertheless, by the grace of Allah, nshe performed bai’at after Istikharah. There are many incidents just like this. After seeing true dreams, people performnthe bai’at and enter the Jama’at. Marwan Sahib, missionary from Argentina, writes that Mr. John performed bai’at this year. He comes from the province of Buenos. He had dedicated his life tonbecome a Christian priest, but he started to have so many doubts about Christian teachings during the course of his education that he had to leave his seminaryncourse after four years. Unable to find satisfactory answers innChristianity, he began to study other religions, and his interest in Islam and thenHoly Quran began to increase. When he contacted different Islamic sects tonobtain a copy of the Holy Quran, he was first introduced to us and came intoncontact with the Ahmadiyya Jama’at and was invited to visit the mission house. When he arrived at the mission house and saw the picture of the Promised Messiah (as)nfor the first time, he immediately began askingnquestions about him Marwan sahib says: “I first tried “and thought it would be appropriate to informnhim of the fundamental teachings of Islam, “but he insisted that he first be introducednto the Promised Messiah (as). “Therefore, it was explained “that he is the same Promised Messiah (as)nwhose advent is foretold in all religions. “At that time, he did not expressnanything else and left. “He relates that that after a few weeks,n[that man] made contact again “and said that he had become a Muslim some weeksnago and now wanted to perform the bai’at. “He says that I gave him the suggestionnthat he should do some more research, “but he said that I was already satisfied the day “when I saw the picture ofnthe Promised Messiah (as) “because I had a previous association with it. “When I saw his picture, I became certain “that I would be shown the way to God Almightynonly through the Ahmadiyya Jama’at. “The man related that two years ago whennhe was in deep search of the truth, one day, “he saw a dream in which a man was mentioning thenmeans of attaining peace and contentment, “and he was repeatedly saying that ifnyou want peace, then follow my advice. “He further stated that during this time,nI was not familiar with Islam, “nor was I able to find out any furtherninformation about this man “because he was unknown to me. “However, when I came to the mission house andnsaw the picture of the Promised Messiah (as), “I immediately remembered my dream, “because this was the same man who, two yearsnago, was giving me advice in my dream “and was inviting me. “Thus, I became certain that I have now come tonmy destination in the search for truth. “Therefore, he performed the bai’at. “In any case, after the bai’at, henfaced opposition from his family. “His father is a very strict Christiannwho severed ties him, “but he says that I now have a spiritual family, “it does not matter if I do notnhave a biological family.” In the same way, there are many other incidents. The Mua’llim Sahib of Cameroon writes saying: “A man by the name of MuhammadnSahib regularly watches MTA. One Friday, when he heard my Friday Sermon on MTA which mentioned the martyrdomnof Hazrat Usman (ra) and how much difficulty andnsuffering he had to endure, Muhammad Sahib said ‘I came to know from thisnsermon, that even in the early era of Islam, ‘the noble companions and Caliphsnfaced many difficulties. ‘This profoundly affected me.’ Thereafter, he participated in thenPromised Messiah Day programme, and as he was leaving, he took home some pamphletsnregarding the advent of the Imam Mahdi. He says; “After reading these pamphlets, Inbecame curious about the Promised Messiah (as). “I began to pray for guidance from God Almighty. “One night, I saw thenPromised Messiah (as) in a dream “who said to me ‘This alone is the right path’. “That night, I understood that thisnCommunity is from God Almighty, “and that I should perform the bai’at.’” Thus, he performed the bai’at the next day. So, by the grace of Allah, these typesnof incidents are innumerable. There are incidents of Africa, nof Russia and of Europe. A lot of time has passed, nso I will end this here. These incidents will be mentionednsometime in the future. Bai’ats also take place due tonthe propaganda of opponents. A woman, Samantha Sahiba, nperformed bai’at in Mexico. She said that for many years shenwas facing several difficulties. At last, she decided that she was in need ofnGod, and after studying different religions, she concluded that only Islamncan be the true religion. She befriended many Muslims online. One day, she contacted the Jama’atnand started coming to the mosque. Her friends told her not to do this and spokenout against the Ahmadiyya Jama’at. She also contacted the local Sunni community, nbut seeing their depraved morals, hardheartedness and upon finding their teachingsnto be far removed from Islam, she decided that their allegations againstnthe Jama’at must be lies as well, and that true Islam can only benseen in the Ahmadiyya Jama’at. In this way, she cut off ties with all of hernnon-Ahmadi friends, performed the bai’at, and entered into the fold of the Jama’at. Also due to opposition. Similarly, Amir Sahib Gambia writes that he metnwith a man named Yahya Cisse Sahib. He gathered the village people, and in light ofnthe traditions of the Holy Prophet (sa), we conveyed the message ofnIslam Ahmadiyyat to them. Upon hearing this, he said, “Before you came here, some non-Ahmadis camenhere who spoke out against the Jama’at. “At this, I told them that I do not knownmuch about the Ahmadiyya Jama’at, “however, what I do know is that theynare better Muslims than you.” Amir Sahib continues, “We were still there “when someone informed the opponents ofnthe Jama’at about our arrival in that village, “whereupon one of the opponentsnphoned him and said “Do not become Ahmadi! Stay away from them!” Cisse Sahib responded saying “I do not seenanything objectionable in Ahmadis. “They gave their arguments from the Holy Quran;ntherefore, I am accepting the Ahmadiyya Jama’at.” Nonetheless, the opponents were invited to comenand present their arguments, but none of them came forward. Thus, this person, performed the bai’at, along with 10 others, andnentered the fold of the Jama’at. Then, people perform the bai’at after witnessingnsigns and seeing the exemplary conduct of Ahmadis. Similarly, people perform bai’at after listening to that which isnsaid against us on various websites. New converts [to Ahmadiyyat] are threatenednso that they leave Ahmadiyyat. A Sadr Sahib of Indonesia, ofnMonsluer Jama’at, writes that a tofu factory workernwas being introduced to the Jamaat. After recognizing the truth ofnAhmadiyyat, he performed bai’at. After some days, an officernof the factory found out that he had performed bai’atnand entered the Jama’at, so he gave him an ultimatum to eithernleave Ahmadiyyat or leave the factory. That new convert confidently replied that he would choose Ahmadiyyat, nand so he left the factory. The decree of God was manifested innsuch a way that after some months, that same factory went bankrupt, and on the othernhand, the convert started his own tofu factory. Thus, Allah the Almighty showednhim a sign in this way. Then there are some who remark that we have experienced extraordinary changesnwithin themselves after accepting Ahmadiyyat. A Mu’allim in Kiribati who, beforenaccepting Ahmadiyyat, was infamous for fighting and beingninvolved in other such activities, and people were terrified of him. Nonetheless, he accepted Islam andnhis life was completely transformed. The Mu’allim states, “One day, nwhere our mosque is situated, “a drunk person was hurling abusenat Islam and using foul language. “As there is typically no enclosuren[around buildings] due to the local custom, “the Mu’allim Sahib was leading prayersnin the courtyard of the mosque. When Mu’allim Sahib completed the prayers, thendrunk man saw him and then ran away. The next day, he returned to thenmosque and said to Mu’allim, “You used to be quite infamous in your area, npeople used to fear you, and you were a miscreant. “But now what do I see that younare leading people in prayer? “At first, I got scared thatnwhat will become of me, “but then on observingnyour patience and forbearance, “I felt apprehensive whethernthis the same person.” At this, the Mu’allim explained to him,n“Ever since I accepted Islam Ahmadiyyat, “my life has changed, and I havenforsaken all those bad habits.” After that, that man began to visit the mosquenregularly and accepted Ahmadiyyat. There are similar incidents from many otherncountries including Fiji, Tanzania, and France. People bring about a transformation within themnafter listening to Sermons as well. For this, people write a lot of incidentsnexplaining how a change took place within them. The evil end of the opponentsnof Ahmadiyyat also comes to light, and they observe their own ruin as well. There are also a lot of incidents regardingnthe acceptance of prayer. The Missionary in Charge of Guatemala writes, Three months ago, Byron Sahib wrote me anletter about some families and individuals who were being preached to. When he was given the response,nByron Citalan’s wife said that they have been married for ten years, and they were always fighting and arguingnand there were other issues as well. However, since the last three months thenatmosphere in their home has completely changed. (Byron Cita Sahib had performed the bai’at, and their other friends werenbeing introduced to the Jamaat.) Nonetheless, his wife said that I have beennobserving for three months that the atmosphere at home has changed;nthere is no quarrel or argument. She said that this appears to bendue to the blessing of prayer, and so, along with her two children, nshe performed the bai’at. There are countless incidents such as these. There are also impressions of non-Ahmadinguests attending various functions. Amir Sahib Canada writes that during this year, a nationalnTabligh Day was celebrated. That day, signs were setnup at highways and roads. Various people were standing with signboards ofnthe picture of the Promised Messiah (as). He states that during this time annincident took place in Brampton that an Indian man was profoundly moved to see the picture of the Promised Messiah (as)non a signboard and said, “I am not affiliatednwith any religion whatsoever, “but the man whose picture you are holding, “his eyes tell that he is by no meansna liar and that his message is true. “Now I will read about your community.” Australia Day was celebrated in Australia. There, a lady, Ms. Debbie, says: “Upon seeing your event, “tears of joy welled up in my eyes thatnthe future of Australia is in good hands. “Seeing this event makes me proud to be annAustralian, and to call Australia my country.” In the same manner, there are countless othernincidents like this one from other places as well. The missionary of Kababir writes, “Our Muaz Odeh Sahib introduced Islam andnAhmadiyyat “to a non-Muslim student delegationnfrom America that visited our headquarters; and he also answered the students’ questions. “A student from that group, Abraham, said, ‘I wasnborn in a Jewish household of Dominica. ‘Following our forefathers, wenare waiting for the Messiah. ‘Up to this day, I have had no interestnin listening to anyone else ‘and I have continued to holdnmy beliefs without evidence. ‘But today, after visiting your community here, Inhave become an entirely different person, ‘because I have heard such things here today thatndo not seem to be the words of man, ‘but rather the words of God. ‘And now, it is as if I have been told to stopnwandering, to remove the veils in front of me, ‘and to search for the truth. ‘So, whatever I have heard here today, hasnaffected my entire heart and mind.’ In the same way, upon leaving a mosque, annon-Muslim girl from Spain remarked: “We are now leaving your mosquenwith fresh hopes for life. “We have received a good action plan.”nAnd she expressed her gratitude. This report is very long. I have mentioned a portion of it. Addressing his opponents, thenPromised Messiah (as) states: “Desist and fear His wrath and truly know thatnyou have set a seal upon your seditious deeds. “If God were with you, then you wouldnhave had no need for such deceptions. “The prayer of only one ofnyou would have destroyed me. “However, no one’s prayer wasnable to ascend to Heaven. “Rather, the effects of your prayers isnthat you are diminishing day by day “Do you not see that you are decreasing, nand we are increasing? “If you had any footing on truth, then in thisncompetition, should your end have been like this?” May Allah the Almighty grant sense to thesenopponents and to all the people of the world so that they may understand the messagenof the Promised Messiah (as), that they understand the true message of Islam, and so that by accepting the Messenger whom Allahnthe Almighty has sent in the world, they may be able to amend theirnpresent life and the hereafter. May the peace, mercy and blessingsnof Allah be upon you!
